Great color but the fit was a bit wide and boxy. After I washed it, it shrunk short. If I raise my arms even a little, my belly shows. I bought a petite M because I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs. I didn't have this problem with some other petite shirts I ordered from LL Bean. I kept it because it'll be fine for wearing around the house on weekends, but I'm not likely to wear it out of the house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Flygalmoonbeam True Navy color is not a true dark navy blue
If you are expecting the True Navy color to be a dark navy blue you will be very disappointed. The color is closer to a dark royal blue or dark cornflower blue. The material used for this shirt is comfortable. I usually wear medium size but always size up to a Large for this shirt as it does shrink in the dryer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by darcyrose Beautiful shirts but they do shrink
I agree with other reviewers about the shrinking. I have three of these shirts that I bought two years ago. The styling is beautiful and I love that they can be dressed up. But even after cold water washing and drying for about 15 minutes on the lowest setting, they shrunk quite a bit. Fortunately, I am only 5'3", so I can still wear them, but just barely. I would definitely prefer them longer. They are such versatile shirts and I would like more, so I keep checking reviews periodically to see if the problem has been remedied. Sadly, that does not seem to be the case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ship2 Lovely color; snug fit
I love the style, color (arctic purple) and quality of this tee; which is why I will keep it. The sizing however, not so much. I ordered a larger size than I usually wear and it is still a bit snug, which is why I only gave it 4-stars. The size seems to run small in this tee.. You can dress it up or down and it looks great. And did I mention that it is a good quality and nicely cut tee, wears well and overall I just plain look good in it!

I bought several of these at full price and am sorry I spent the money. I lost a lot of weight and wanted to hide my crepey arms. But the fabric is too hot and doesn't breathe. Cut is not 'slightly fitted' but rather really boxy and does not do anything for defining my waist line. Needs to be more fitted through waist line. Also they are way too short and do not look good unless I tuck them in. Need to add 2 inches to the length. All in all they make me look very matronly.

Great silky cotton material. For me, it was too boxy and short. Came down to my upper hip just barely covered top of my pants.
The China Blue is beautiful. Might try another Bean shirt in the same color but longer cut.

Rated 3 out of 5 by poet522 Not a shirt for tall/long-waisted people!
Bought 3 of these for work (I'm a teacher). Beautiful colors & fabric, but the shirt is styled so that I can't move my arms without the shirt riding up and exposing skin. I have to return them. However, I can see how these would work well for more petite/ short-waisted people, so I would recommend this shirt with reservations.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MTNGIRL37 Nice material BUT
Unfortunately, these tee shirts shrink significantly after washing. The material remains soft and silky, but the shrinkage renders the shirt too short to wear. I can no longer wear any of these tee shirts and I won't buy more until LLBean either makes them 2 inches longer (to adjust for shrinkage) or has them "prewashed" by the vendor. This is too bad because LLBean has many other tee shirts that don't shrink at all.

I tried this top on when I received it and it fit perfectly. I followed washing instructions for cold water and low temp dry. I used the extra low temp on my dryer. When I got it out of the dryer I could tell immediately that it had shrunk. I tried it on again and it looked short and terrible. I bought a Pima cotton tank top from L.L. Bean 10 or 15 years ago and it still looks almost new. No shrinkage and it hangs to my hips and looks very nice. I just think the quality of these Pima cotton tops has gone downhill over the years. I really hate it when clothes shrink after you have bought the correct size and follow washing instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tynsal Very smooth fabric and good fit.
I ordered two of these shirts in a 1X and find the fit excellent after washing and being in the dryer. Before laundering it was a bit large on me. Still a bit longer than the v-necks I've ordered for years. I'm 5'2". I like the longer arm length (I'm 69). I'd love to see this shirt in a light mint green. I love the feel of the fabric.
