L.L.Bean Acadia 4-Person Tent

Frequently Asked Questions

• Q: How many people can sleep in the Acadia 4-Person Tent?

A: We designed it for 3 to 4 people. It has 64 sq. ft. of floor area with an 8' x 8' footprint, giving everyone room to spread out. If you have bulkier gear, you may find it most comfortable with fewer campers.

• Q: Can you stand up inside this 4-person tent?

A: Yes, the peak height is 6' 8". Near-vertical walls help maximize usable interior space, so the tent feels open when you are changing clothes or moving around inside.

• Q: How does the magnetic self-closing door work?

A: The door uses magnets that help it close behind you. It is a great feature for busy camp setups because it helps reduce the chance of leaving the entry hanging open. Combined with the No-See-Um mesh windows and ceiling, it helps keep bugs outside where they belong.

• Q: What materials and poles are used in this tent?

A: The tent body is made from durable 75-denier polyester with a 1500 mm polyurethane waterproof coating. For structure, it uses durable fiberglass roof poles with steel legs. It also has No-See-Um mesh windows and a mesh ceiling for bug protection.

• Q: Can I run a power cord into the tent for lights or accessories?

A: Yes, there is a special port that allows you to run a power cord inside. It is handy for campsite lights and small accessories when you have access to power.

• Q: What are the packed size and weight, and how does it carry?

A: Packed size is 26"L x 9"W x 9.5"H, with a minimum weight of 22 lb. We include a rolling duffle stuff sack to make transport and storage easier. This setup is best when you want a spacious tent without having to carry it long distances.
