After trying on just about every pair of pants on earth, I have found pants that fit and flatter. These aren't high-end or low-end -- they are just sensible, comfortable, WASHABLE pants with pockets (Hello, cell phone! You have a home!) and will be worn multiple times per week. The navy works with navy garments I already own. The adjustable waist means I can have pants that fit in the hips AND in the waist. Now who do I have to bribe to get these made in gray -- a light shade and a dark shade, please. (I'll bake you a pie!)

VERY BIG pocket bulge. The entire side seam bulges. I am a 8P with slim hips and legs.

They're fine, but the pockets have a flare that is noticeable. It depends on your body type, but I'm a size 10 and average proportioned, so I didn't expect to find the pocket bulge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KP1012 Hidden Comfort Waistband too bulky
The Hidden Comfort Waistband is too thick and bulky, and there is something wrong with the zipper - it won't lay flat, but instead always bulges out. The two front belt loops are not close enough to the zipper. This causes my belt buckle to slid up above the front button and completely off of the waist band, which is both uncomfortable and unsightly. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to the regular normal waist band. I bought one of these pants a little over a year ago and had to return it for these same reasons. I bought another pair last month, hoping that the problems have been fixed. I am so disappointed that the same problems still exist. I can say however, that the fabric is great and the quality of construction is excellent. Now, if you could only fix these design problems...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hokie85 Just plain weird
I bought these because they are Bean's only "classic fit" chinos that come in Navy. The hidden comfort waistband is a really weird sensation--I felt like either my fly was down or the pants were going to fall off (neither was the case). The construction has enough overlap that your underwear doesn't show through the pockets. I like the fabric, as it is fairly hefty and comes in a nice assortment of colors. It just feels weird. I am returning them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Knitasha Super disappointed with the cut of these pants
Classic Fit apparently means the wearer has no curves at all. I don't see myself as being built vastly different from other women, but these pants looked awful on me. They seemed very high waisted, were tight through the hips, and there was a huge pooch of fabric right in the crotch, which was odd because the thighs fit fine. Just cut strangely in my opinion. No doubt about sending them back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by shopny Pocket gap
Some other reviewers mentioned the pocket gap, but I thought I would take a chance. I received these today and they fit well, except across the hips where the pockets gapped open. The contrasting lining only accentuated the fact. These are going back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by malenkya Has the size/cut changed?
I've been wearing this style forever and have not gained or lost weight, but the pair I just ordered (and am returning) has such a short rise that it only reaches my navel, not the natural waist as "Classic Waist" is supposed to. And since my mid-belly, like many women's, is a bit larger in circumference than my waist, there is no way I can button the pants even if I wanted to wear them as low -riders. The waistband, which your size chart says fits a 32.5" waist, is only 30" around (relaxed) and 32" stretched. So even if the rise were adequate they wouldn't fit. What have you done to the fit of these formerly great pants?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Geehurstforever Not properly sewn
Obviously I have a "belly", is why I ordered the hidden comfort waist. I didn't like that when I put my hands into the front pockets of the pants, my "belly" was exposed. #It's really hard to explain# There's an opening in the top of the pockets that produces a gap, and the elastic to the waistband is exposed. The elastic waist is definitely a good idea, and would have been great if not for this defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dagny Gorgeous Color, Same Good Fit
These Baysides in Deepest Green are breathtakingly pretty. This is the first time I've seen Forest Green in clothing for at least ten years and I hope to see more of this color. (I would also like to have Baysides in light gray and dark gray, please?)
The Classic fit in 10P is perfect for me; nothing new about that.
I am especially pleased about this purchase.
