Maine summers are made for being outside together. So we’re bringing back our annual summer-long celebration for another year of family fun, with acclaimed music acts, open-air movies, food trucks, festivals and much, much more. Because if it’s outside, we’re all in.

Yoga in the Park

July 2-August 31; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 a.m.-9 a.m.

Start the day off right with fresh air and free yoga in our Discovery Park (weather permitting). Bring a mat and blocks if you have them – if you don’t, we’ll have some extras. Instruction by Freeport Yoga Company. All levels welcome.

Food, Fun & Films

Starting July 6, Every Friday, Food Trucks Arrive at 6 p.m.

Get your outdoor film fix every Friday, right here in Freeport. We’ll have new entertainment lined up every week, including free outdoor movies, speakers and more. Bring a blanket, pick up dinner from local food trucks and vendors, and picnic with us in the park.


Summer in Our Backyard

Savor the season outdoors with summertime surprises all over our Flagship campus. Check out our dog hangout, try geocaching, visit our kids’ woodland village or just enjoy the festive lights – there’s lots to do, so come and stay awhile!

Old Crow Medicine Show

July 21, 7:30 p.m. – FREE CONCERT

From playing for change on the street corners of New York and Canada, to packed houses at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, this multiple-Grammy-winning group has become one of the world’s most preeminent folk and Americana acts . Their classic single “Wagon Wheel” has gone on to sell over 1,000,000 copies since its release in 2004.


July 28, 7:30 p.m. – FREE CONCERT

Born Mike Rosenberg, but familiar to millions as Passenger, this English-born singer/songwriter infuses his infectious indie pop with a bewitching folk flavor. His most successful single, “Let Her Go,” won over the world and topped the charts all across mainland Europe. In 2014, the song was nominated for the Brit Award for British Single of the Year.

The Revivalists

August 4, 7:30 p.m. – FREE CONCERT

Attracting a wide range of listeners with their eclectic rock sound, this genre-bending New Orleans-based septet fills the stage with dynamic percussion, punchy horns and a gritty Southern roots vibe. Propelled to surprise stardom with their hit single, “Wish I Knew You,” the band has since earned praise from music reviewers, sold-out audiences and even Jimmy Kimmel, who named the song his “summer jam.”

Camp Sunshine Watermelon Festival

August 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Celebrate in the summer heat with a refreshing lineup of watermelon carving, seed-spitting contests, lawn games, music and fun surprises. Benefits Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Amazing Place Adventure Race

August 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We’re proud to be hosting this great American Cancer Society event at L.L.Bean. Contestants will navigate their way through Freeport to discover clues and complete challenges, including physical competitions, fun brain-teasers and more.

Teens to Trails Life Happens Outside Festival

August 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year, Teens to Trails brings their annual celebration of the outdoor lifestyle to L.L.Bean, featuring a fun-filled day of interactive workshops, competitions, demonstrations and even yoga – all free for people of all ages and abilities.

Dog Days of August, Featuring DockDogs®

August 25-26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring your best friend for this fun annual festival and join L.L.Bean in supporting shelter pets and programs. Make sure to catch the always-amazing show put on by DockDogs, with dogs competing in long jump, high jump and timed retrieval events.

The Fray

September 1, 7:30 p.m. – FREE CONCERT

This Denver-based group, formed in 2002 by a pair of high school friends, quickly achieved national success with their 2005 debut, featuring hit singles “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and “How to Save a Life,” the latter going double-platinum. The critically acclaimed foursome, known for their melodic pop rock and honest, emotional ballads, earned a 2010 Grammy nomination for their self-titled release, The Fray.
