Yoga in the Park

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 a.m.-9 a.m.

Start the day off right with fresh air and free yoga in our Discovery Park (weather permitting). Bring a mat and blocks if you have them – if you don’t, we’ll have some extras. Instruction by Freeport Yoga Company; all levels welcome.

Food, Fun & Films

Every Friday; food trucks arrive at 6 p.m.

Spend your Friday nights with us in Freeport! You’ll find new entertainment every week, including free outdoor movies, speakers and more. Bring a blanket, pick up dinner from local food trucks and vendors, and picnic with us in the park.

Summer in Our Backyard

Savor the season outdoors with summertime surprises all over our flagship campus. Check out our new dog hangout, try geocaching, visit our kids’ woodland village and enjoy the festive lights – there’s lots to do, so come and stay awhile!


10K Road Race and 1-Mile Fun Run

July 4, 7:25 a.m. and 9:10 a.m.

Our hometown race celebrates its 40th anniversary this year! Compete in our 10K road race or one-mile family fun run/walk. Proceeds support Casco Bay YMCA Youth Programs.


Fourth of July Celebration

July 4

Celebrate the Fourth with us in Freeport. Watch a classic parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street and stick around for great shopping and fun outdoor activities. Then join us in the park for a free concert with Matt Andersen at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks, starting around 9 p.m.

We’ll kick off our concert series with this fantastic blues performer from New Brunswick, Canada. Matt was named Best Solo Performer at the Memphis Blues Challenge and Best Solo/Acoustic Act at the European Blues Awards.

Langhorne Slim & The Law

July 8, 7:30 p.m. – Free Concert

Langhorne Slim and his band, The Law, are known for energetic alternative rock rooted in folk, country and blues. They’ve played major music festivals, including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, and have made multiple appearances on Conan.

Open House – Summer on the Coast

July 15, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the L.L.Bean Home Store

Bluegrass Festival

July 22, 5 p.m.-9 p.m. – Free Concerts

Come hear the best bluegrass in our backyard. With: Joe K. Walsh and Friends, featuring Celia Woodsmith at 5 p.m., The Gibson Brothers at 6 p.m., Caroga Lake Chamber Players at 7 p.m. and 2017 Grammy Award winner The O’Connor Band, featuring Mark O’Connor at 8 p.m.

Mayer Hawthorne

July 29, 7:30 p.m. – Free Concert

Sure to be a fun show! Grammy-nominated performer and producer Mayer Hawthorne will perform his Motown-style mix of funk and soul music. He combines classic R&B, rap and hip-hop influences to create a modern, dance-ready sound.

Sara Evans

August 5, 7:30 p.m. – Free Concert

Country star (and former Dancing with the Stars contestant) Sara Evans was called “a stunning Country voice” by Rolling Stone. Don’t miss the chance to see this talented multi-platinum artist, with 20 Billboard chart singles.

Camp Sunshine Watermelon Festival

August 12, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Come for a day packed with the best of summer, from watermelon carving to seed-spitting contests. Look for music, lawn games, face painting and fun surprises! Hosted by L.L.Bean, the event benefits Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Amazing Place Adventure Race

August 13, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

We’re proud to be hosting this American Cancer Society event at L.L.Bean. Contestants will navigate their way through Freeport to discover clues and complete challenges, including physical competitions, fun brain-teasers and more.


Kids’ Get Out + Play Day

August 19, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Kids of all ages will enjoy this day of outdoor fun. Try slack lining and test your skills on a mountain bike course. Plus, we’ll be hosting the Happy Camper Book Fair with Scholastic – pick up some great books for summer reading!

Dog Days of August featuring DockDogs

Festival on August 26, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; DockDogs shows on August 26 & 27

Join us Saturday for the Coastal Humane Society’s Save a Stray 5K at 8 a.m. and our fun annual festival at 10 a.m., featuring police dog and agility demos. On Saturday and Sunday, bring your best friend to watch – or even join in – the amazing DockDogs show, with long jump, high jump and timed retrieval events.

We wrap up our concert series with Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby, perhaps best known for the hit song The Way It Is. Bruce’s diverse career spans more than 30 years and includes performances of his own award-winning work as well as collaborations with other top artists.
