Are The Original Bean Boots crafted in Maine?

Yes - The Original Bean Boot collection is crafted right here in Maine. For the most accurate details on a specific pair, confirm the information on the item page for that style.

How should The Original Bean Boot fit?

It should feel secure at the heel with enough room in front of your toes to move naturally. Check the Size & Fit notes for the exact style and compare your measurements to the size chart before ordering.

What is the difference between 6", 8" and 10" Bean Boots?

The Original Bean Boot has been a go-to L.L.Bean style since 1912, inspired by an idea from our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean. Crafted right here in Maine for over 100 years by expert craftspeople, each pair carries the same timeless look that made the original famous.

This collection brings that heritage to a range of silhouettes for men and women, from classic lace-up boots to easy pull-on options. Choose from familiar shaft heights like 6", 6.5", 7", 8", 9" and 10", plus variations like Chelseas, gumshoes and moc-style slip-ons.

Start by deciding how much height you want above the ankle and the kind of opening you prefer - lace-up, pull-on, or slip-on. Then review the Size & Fit notes on each item page and compare your measurements to the size chart for the specific style you are considering.
