These should be “oiled” by the manufacturer.
My chairs recently arrived in boxes and took about an hour to put together. They look good but the wood is stained but not finished. I’m supposed to oil them. They have webbing so

We love these chairs!

Excellent quality and super comfortable.
Well-made rockers. Not worried to have a grandchild on my lap and rock away! Very comfortable so you can sit for awhile. Not that difficult to assemble.
