We’re turning our flagship campus into a destination for free outdoor events, including our can’t-miss concert series, wellness classes, family movie nights, and a whole lot more. Soak up the fun, with something to do every single day, at L.L.Bean in Freeport!
Free Concerts in the Park
A packed lineup of live music is back on the Discovery Park stage! Come grab a spot on the grass and spend an evening with your favorite artists.
Guests are welcome to put out chairs starting at 6 a.m. No blankets on the lawn please.
Monday, July 4, at 7:30 p.m.
Drawing inspiration from music all over the world – crossing genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop – the “little orchestra” Pink Martini and singer/songwriter China Forbes have brought their music to six continents, performing songs in 25 languages.

Since the arrival of their 2016 breakthrough single, “Talk Too Much,” Nashville-based trio COIN have continually turned out their sublimely catchy, sing-along-heavy brand of alt-pop, equally built on effervescent hooks and an understated complexity.

From the days of playing greasy local juke joints to headlining major festivals, JJ Grey remains an unfettered, blissful performer, singing with a blue-collared spirit backed by the bone-deep grooves of his band, Mofro.

Dubbed "masters of soulful folk" by Paste, The Wood Brothers formed after brothers Chris and Oliver Wood pursued separate musical careers for 15 years: Chris as one-third of the incomparable Medeski Martin & Wood; Oliver touring with Tinsley Ellis before releasing a half-dozen albums with his band King Johnson. With drummer Jano Rix added as a permanent third member, it's become clear that The Wood Brothers is indeed the main act.

We’re kicking off this year’s Summer in the Park in a big way!
7:25 a.m. and 9:10 a.m.
Our hometown race has been an Independence Day staple for over 40 years! All proceeds support the YMCA of Southern Maine Casco Bay Branch.
Take your spot along Freeport’s Main Street as our classic American parade marches through town.
Starting at 7:30 p.m.
Finish your day in Discovery Park with a concert by genre-bending orchestra Pink Martini, featuring China Forbes. Then stick around for our new take on pollution-free fireworks, as we fill the night sky with a stunning display of colorful laser lights.
Please note: lasers can be dangerous if they come in direct contact with eyes or skin.

Sundays, Tuesdays & Fridays, 8-9 a.m.
Sun salutations! Start your morning with a stretch on our Discovery Park lawn. Bring a mat and blocks – if you don’t have your own, we’ll have extra. All levels welcome. Weather permitting.
Mondays & Wednesdays, 8-9 a.m.
Join us for a balancing start to your day, bringing together the yin and yang practices of yoga. We'll combine the holding of poses with the benefits of yoga flow to improve your overall energy, stamina, flexibility and strength.
Mondays & Wednesdays, 9-10 a.m.
Pronounced “chee-gung,” this ancient mind-body-spirit practice can improve one’s mental and physical health by integrating gentle, fluid movement, breath practices, self-massage, and mindful intent.
Mondays, 6 p.m.

Kids will have a blast at this fun and educational weekly event, where we’ll be toasting gooey s’mores, reading nature-themed stories, and making crafts related to what we learned.
Wednesdays, 7 p.m.
Join some of our favorite storytellers for presentations about wild adventures and expeditions, science, environmental conservation, and more.
Thursdays, 7 p.m.
Does being outside make you smarter? We’ll put that theory to the test as we play trivia together in Discovery Park. Prizes will be given to our highest scorers. Smartphone required.
Fridays, 7 p.m.
Sundays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Head to our Main Street patio and see if you can reach the summit of the EVO Rock + Fitness climbing wall.

Enjoy a thrilling selection of outdoor-themed documentaries that will have you on the edge of your seat (or blanket). Movies curated by the Maine Outdoor Film Festival. Recommended for ages 13 and up.

Join L.L.Bean in supporting shelter pets and programs. There’ll be plenty of pup-centric activities all weekend long, including high-flying DockDogs competing in long jump, high jump, and timed retrieval events.
