You’re invited to Maine’s most joyful winter event—where magic is in the air, warm memories are easy to make, and wonder is waiting around every corner.
Renovations are ongoing at our flagship store, but we won’t let it interrupt your Northern Lights experience. There will be plenty of store reps and signage to help you navigate the L.L.Bean campus and point you towards all the fun, exciting and FREE activities happening in Discovery Park.

L.L.Bean Winter Spectacular
4-8 p.m. | Shows every 30 minutes
Camp L.L.Bean Tent
Our dazzling new projection show is a visual spectacle for all ages, taking you on a light-filled journey that will make you believe in magic!
Fire Pits and Heated Seats
1-7 p.m. | Discovery Park
Take a break from all the fun and warm up around one of our fire pits. We’ll save you an L.L.Bean Adirondack, kept cozy courtesy of Hüga Heated Cushions, made right here in Maine.
Letters to Santa
Santa’s Cabin | Discovery Park Stage
Santa loves getting letters from Northern Lights! Kids can place their holiday wishes in our big red mailbox and we’ll make sure they get to the North Pole.

The countdown is on! Join our holiday emcees, Blake, Kelly, and Todd from Maine’s Coast 93.1 morning show, for our famous tree lighting ceremony.

Don’t miss the special premiere of our fantastically festive new projection show, every half hour on the Camp L.L.Bean tent.
L.L.Bean Home for the Holidays Event
Saturday, November 22, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Join us for a unique holiday shopping experience! Our Home Store will be highlighting their favorite gift-giving ideas and holiday inspiration, along with fun activities, demos, and food samples. You’ll be sure to find something special for everyone on your list.
32nd Annual Freeport Sparkle Celebration
December 5-14
Each year, Visit Freeport presents one of Maine’s most popular holiday celebrations. The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 5, with a Parade of Lights down Main Street, and continue all week with Santa visits, gift card giveaways with the Stealth Elf, the famous Talking Christmas Tree, and much more!
