Rated 5 out of 5 by Twoody Awesome sweater
I purchased two of these to take to Ireland on vacation in early March. They did not disappoint. We had all the weather you could think of including hurricane force winds on the cliffs of moher. I stayed warm and dry in the foulest weather. 80 mph winds did get through the wool, but that's the exception. Well made.

My husband loves this sweater, particularly the compliments he gets about it! I am glad I was able to persuade him to invest in it as it will be a staple of his winter wardrobe for years to come.

Love this sweater, bought two of them. The suede like collar is very comfortable and not scratchy around your neck and face. Extremely warm and holds it shape very well after multiple wears. Get one or two

Rated 5 out of 5 by ECU83 Second Purchase of this Sweater
I just recently received my second Waterfowl Sweater. I originally purchased one a few years ago in the older loden color, with this most recent purchase in navy. The quality of the sweater is the same, well knitted with a substantially thick weave. They have stood up well to the recent cold weather we have experienced here in the east as I usually wear a mock turtleneck, and if needed, a lighter cotton or wool vest underneath. The collar is a little stiff at first, however should soften up with use similar to my other sweater. The fit is just right for me, I'm 6"2", 260 lbs. and ordered the XXL regular. I cycle off my older clothes to charity organizations, however these will always be in my closet as I expect many more years of service from them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jbaxj Fantastic sweater.
Fantastic sweater, don't change a thing.
It repels light rain and snow and blocks reasonable wind.
Easy to care for and it looks good.
Easy to put on and take off.
I could run outside to care for animals in a Colorado blizzard and stay warm and toasty for an hour or more.
I've had the vest for years, but this is even better.

wow! What a great product. Im 6 5 feet tall and the fit for me is perfect. I know some complain of the lining in the sleeves but to me it just makes it easier to put on. Great color, great fit and ,most of all , very warm and comfortable. China did something right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bharath Good purchase
I really like this sweater. This is my first real wool sweater, because I was always worried about wool being itchy. I wear this over a full sleeve shirt/tee, and it works! The collar is microfiber.
The best thing about this material is that it seems to have a temperature versatility - it keeps me comfortable whether I am indoor or outdoor.
Size: I usually buy XL everywhere else, but I found that with LL Bean, you should actually go with the size chart (chest measurement) rather than the L/XL designation. At LL Bean, Large size fits best for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FLnaturalist Excellent Product
Originally ordered the Commando Deep Woods Green Sweater. Returned it mostly because it was not a color match (dark brown, no green). So, tried the Waterfowl Deep Loden and found it an infinitely better choice. Despite extra cost, the Marino wool is softer, much lighter and more comfortable, the garment look more stylish and the color match perfect. Pay the extra $30.
