Rated 1 out of 5 by Nobean Poor quality Mock Turtlenecks
For many years I have ordered LL Bean Mock Turtlenecks and needed to replace several of them this year. What has happened to LL Bean's quality? These are paper thin, I can see my bra in the Cream Color. They will never keep me warm in a Colorado mountain winter. Turtlenecks need to be the same weight as the long sleeve T-Shirt I recently ordered. All of the reviews mention that they shrink. Why would I buy a size up to overcome this? They shouldn't shrink. I am returning all four Turtlenecks I ordered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lynn2 Stand-Up Neck Pima Cotton Long Sleeve Tee
I have many of these tees in different colors going back many years. Wash, wear, hold up, wonderful soft fabric. But, I must agree with other reviewers that some features have changed over the last two or three years, and not for the better, in my opinion. The shirt used to be, overall, a bit looser fit. Now the neck is too tight and the upper sleeves are, too. I've worn the same size (XL) for years with consistent fit until recently. Please bring back the former fit. Also, would love to see this in a True Navy sometime. If none of these things are issues for you, it's a great shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShoppingGuru The cream color is actually a pale yellow:(
I love the fit and fabric of this shirt. However, I need it in off white/ winter white. The cream color is actually a pale yellow which doesn't look quite right with my other pieces with off white in them.
Please consider this color. It would make a great shirt!

Rated 1 out of 5 by casualanne Not a standup neck!
Why LL Bean calls this shirt a "stand up" neck is beyond me. It is a mock neck. If you look at the catalog photos, they look just alike. I have many stand up neck t shirts from Bean going back at least 10 years. They are my favorites all fall, winter and early spring. I think I have every color (except yellow) that it comes in. All of them have a relaxed neck that is around 4 inches high - not a tight turtle neck but a relaxed high neck that is very comfortable and dressy. This shirt that they are calling a "stand up" neck doesn't stand up - it gets pushed down by your chin and then it looks messy. Why, oh why, make a mock neck and a "stand up" neck that are the same thing!! I want my old style stand up necks back!

Rated 3 out of 5 by walker22 Armholes too small
Beautiful colors, nice fabric, plenty long enough, but too tight in the armholes. Makes the fabric bunch around the bust so that it feels and looks too small. Otherwise medium would work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by customer111 100% soft if without the side label
I do like the shirt. It's very soft and well made. However, a product label on the side seam made of sort of plastic material is a problem. Though I cut it off as much as I could, the leftover sewn in the seam still bothers me sometimes, especially when I wear something over the shirt. Can the material be changed to a softer type? Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lifeisgrand TOO SHORT
I have many regular LLBean turtlenecks that I love. This was my first mock turtleneck. The fabric is soft and the color is nice. But the shirt is too short, sleeves too tight in the armpits, and the collar just kind of hangs, not at all what I expected. I had put it away to wear on a special occasion, having been satisfied with the regular turtlenecks - so didn't try on when received. Disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by casualanne stand up neck tees not good
I have at least 10 years of Bean's Pima standup neck turtlenecks - and I LOVE them all. The whole stack is wonderful. BUT for the last 3 years, I haven't bought any! I notice that other reviewers agree with me. The fabric is still really nice - BUT they are too small and short in the length of the body and sleeves. They won't stay tucked in. And - even worse - the neck is more of a mock than the old stand up. I have measured - the current stand up neck is at least two inches shorter than all of the old ones and it droops down and looks loose. What you are now selling should be called a mock neck because it sure isn't the old, very dressy (and lovely) stand up neck. I have complained to your telephone people for at least three years. PLEASE go back to the old stand up neck that was so dressy!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Smartgirl65 Pima Cotton Pima Stand up Neck Changed
I have a closet full of LL Bean shirts, mostly pima. The fabric is soft, the shirts wash well and the colors are great. This is my favorite fabric...no other company has anything that even comes close this fabric. However, this particular shirt has changed. The stand up part is short and bigger and therefore falls down and looks strange. Lucky for me I have some of the older ones and they are holding up well. I hope LLBean will go back to the older style in the neck as I would love to buy many more. Sad when you find something and then they change it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DLighted Love LLBean pima tees!
LLBean pima tees are top notch! Soft, pill-free, rich colors, stay-in-shape wash after wash...what more could you want? And very reasonably priced for this superior quality. I have a variety of the pima styles. I personally prefer this neckline over a turtleneck. Never feel choked. I did have it monogrammed for a personal touch. Love that! Ordering another one in classic black. Sure to be a go-to shirt under many of my cardigan sweaters. (Mostly from LLBean also!)
