Sage's pinnacle saltwater fly rod features new R8 graphite that adds 25% more strength-per-weight, creating a lightweight yet super-strong rod. Whether you love wading flats for bonefish and stripers or ride the bow looking for giant tarpon, there's an R8 for you.

Construction

R8 graphite allows a stiffer, stronger backbone with a more sensitive tip, resulting in a more connected feel.
Saltwater-ready components withstand harsh coastal environments.
Stronger blank delivers more fish-fighting power, especially in the butt section.
More efficient energy transfer shifts the sweet spot closer to your hand, allowing greater range, quicker reactivity and less wasted casting effort.
Saltwater-resistant titanium Fuji K-Guide ceramic stripper guides with oversized hard chromed snake guides and tip-top.
Includes aluminum rod tube with Sage medallion and black rod bag with quick-tie cord lock for faster and easier storage.
Heavy-duty anodized aluminum up-locking reel seat with integrated hidden hook keeper.
Premium Flor grade full-wells cork handle with EVA fighting butt.
4-piece design for easy travel and storage.
