LLB's easy returns let me exchange last year's version of this coat after a year! Because I didn't benefit from any discounts on the exchange the coat cost me fifty dollars more than I originally paid though (originally paid $136.00 but this time it was $189.00-ouch!#. This year's improvements are immediately noticeable. The hood is much better. I have large braids that never fit under anything but the improved hood does a really good job of covering most of them. Overall the coat is very well made & has great deep pockets. I found that the khaki color I had last year picked up marks easily every time I wore it. This year's Deep Navy isn't really traditional navy but it's a beautiful color. Compared to other LLB coats I've purchased in the past this one runs on the small side. I usually order a 2x but in this item a 3x was necessary. If I had my way I would have it be even a 1/2 size bigger than the 3x in order to wear bulky stuff underneath. #We're still having sketchy weather here in the mid-Atlantic). All in all though it's a very nice raincoat that I'm looking forward to enjoying all Spring and Summer

I needed a coat to take on an overseas trip next month. I debated whether to get my usual black or the dark blue, and ended up with the blue. Good choice! The color is rich and not too bright. I like the 2-way zipper, snap closures (not Velcro), interior drawstring at the waist, interior zip pocket and the extra set of snaps at the cuffs. My only gripe is the hood can't be removed, but I'll get over it. On the whole, it's a great coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Felicity49 comfortable, attractive, and great fit
Just received this raincoat and it fully met my expectations. I got it in 2X which is well cut and fits great allowing ample reach while not too blousy. The seams and stitching are meticulously done.
The navy color is an attractive blue that is not drab.

i purchased llb's mesh-lined raincoat after buying, & returning, the trail model raincoat. although comfort level is a subjective call, the mesh-lined raincoat is everything the model isn't. i chose the ?deep navy,? which is akin to an air force blue. from the start, the coat was comfortable, the way an old sweater or broken in pair of shoes might be. it?s cut like a trench coat, hitting my knees, with a back pleat for ease of walking. in monsoon weather, rubber boots complete the look. no rain hat is necessary as there is a permanently attached hood with a supplemental visor. the fabric is water proof, without being clammy, & is lined in mesh to forestall sweating. the sleeves are cut loosely, without being baggy, & have snaps near the cuffs for cinching in, or i slightly roll them. the closure is a combination of double zipper & snaps. the outside pockets are at a perfectly positioned slant for hands, tissues or gloves. my only misgiving is inside pockets might have been useful. all in all, i think i?ve finally found the perfect raincoat.

I ordered the deep wine color. I'm 5'7", 146lbs and the Misses Medium is a great fit. Enough room for me to wear a thick sweater on cold rainy days, but not too big that I'm swimming in it wearing a light shirt. The hood design is great and should work well to keep the rain off of my face. Now I'm waiting for rain!

Rated 5 out of 5 by easywayshopper very nice
I've shopped around, and I just can't beat good old LLBean. The large petite is just right for ne. I am glad that I didn't order the medium, for this is a good fit in the raincoat, although in shirts the medium petite is better for me. The material is nice and can be worn on days that are sunny, too. I ordered the navy color and am pleased with it. Once again, LLBean doesn't disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by starfarms I love this raincoat!
I'm writing this review due to the fact that every time I wear this raincoat I receive so many compliments! I ordered this raincoat in the Deep Navy, size MP. I'm 5'2-1/2" and it fits me perfectly! The sleeves are the right length and I love how the sleeves have two snaps at the cuff to adjust the fit at the wrists. The length is just the right length for me. I want it to cover my backside well when it's gusty and raining. It has a full length zipper and snap closures and I usually just keep it snapped. The hood gives super coverage when it's raining which saves the need for an umbrella and leaving both my hands free. The only thing missing for me, that I would like, is perhaps an inside pocket. The many times I have worn this raincoat, I have never felt too warm or uncomfortable wearing it.

This coat was bought for summer wear because it is light in weight. But it has been perfect for cooler autumn days in WA state. I can wear a bulky sweatshirt, plus fleece or down vest under it easily for extra warmth. Sheds rain well with no leaking. Love the khaki color because it is darker and a warmer shade than normal khaki. It also blends in with the color of our golden retriever. I thought it would hide the fur that adheres, but the coat seems to repel dog fur as well as water. A great buy! I'm 5'7" tall, size medium.

I purchased this raincoat in the Vibrant Blue. What a wonderful color! I like to wear bright colors on dreary days. Fit & length are great, like the extra weight in the hood so it doesn't blow off so easily. The sleeves are dressy looking. Overall a big winner with me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tasmania No zip on pockets
I only just got the coat - I'm a size 12, ordered the large, and am glad I didn't order the medium. My only quarrel with the design is the the pockets don't zip or fasten! And they're a little shallow, so not good for anything you don't want to lose. There is an internal pocket, but that would be counterproductive to access in the rain. Might return this one...
