I needed a new rolling gym bag to carry aquatics class gear. This one is OK. It gets points for waterproof lining. However, I carry a ?spare? swimsuit and cover-up in case of ?wardrobe malfunction.? I prefer not to have the spare gear in with wet gear, so I shoved the spares in the side pocket. Problem is, the side pocket infringes on the interior of the bag, leaving less room for towels, aqua shoes, wet bathing suit, etc. Additionally, the rolling is a tad imbalanced, probably because the contents of the side pockets are not equally distributed. I haven?t grown to hate it yet, but if I do, at least LL Bean offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I will give it a little more time to get used to it. For now, it works.

Smaller than most carry-on bags, fit under seat on two flights. (Don't overstuff and it will fit.) Says 1-3 days, I went 7 with room to shop (I.e., add more). Stands alone, wheels easily, extra pockets, good quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SparkyatLLBean fits under seat, holds what I need BUT
I was excited to have a rolling bag to fit where it does.
And it held what I needed
BUT something was wrong when using to stack.
Both of my large bags could not be used with it.
It fit over the pull up handle but at that point the new bag
was too tall to have any handle of the large bag extend
beyond the bag top so impossible to get ones fingers
around the large bag's handle without being pinched
at the knuckles . Don't remember any stipulation that
I had to use your brand of luggage for it to work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Spunker great size, served me well!
I purchased this bag recently and used it as my carryon bag on a trip that we just took. It served me very well. It stored quite a lot; I found the compartments helpful; and it was also very attractive and easy to pick out from other pieces of luggage (when we were on two small planes, and, despite its small size, the carrier still asked me to check it plane-side). I am glad that I purchased it, and I will use it on another trip later this summer.

This a perfect bag to use for single night motel stays or to pack meds and a change of clothing for when the airline loses your main luggage. It's sturdy, attractive and a great size. Have already recommended it to friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by marqpl Lovely but a few quirks
I love the fabric and received so many positive comments on my recent trip. I wasn't thrilled with the gusset that prevents opening the main section fully to pack, but understand that it prevents things from falling out if opened in a vertical position. I'm not sure I will ever use the "wallet pocket" for credit cards, passport, tickets or money (although I did try out the similar pocket in the tote bag), and the zipper on only 2 sides of the rectangle means you have to dig for things you can't see in half the pocket. I was surprised that the lining was held together with snaps so that small items could migrate to the frame, but that might be good later if the lining shows some wear and stuff could migrate through small holes and be inaccessible if the lining was a fully stitched bucket. I loved the bigger side pocket for dirty shoes or damp swimsuits (or just to separate dirty from clean clothes).

Rated 5 out of 5 by MoreBeanTheBetter Definitely fits under the seat on a plane!
I use this bag as my carry on every time I fly. What I love about it is I don't have to worry about room in the overhead from the people who stash their bag in the overhead and keep walking to their seat. You know what I'm taking about. This bag fits easily under the seat in front of me. I've never had an issue with space. Now, on the other hand, it doesn't hold a ton. I could never only use this bag for more than a one night stay and that is pushing it for me. I use it for carrying my camera sometimes. I feel like if it is with me, it's safer. Rolls fine for me. Pricy-ish but, in my opinion, very worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rottenkidzmom Looks better than expected
Although I haven't used this, I bought it to be able to put onto the larger one I purchased at the same time. When I went to use the strap to place it on the larger case, I found out that the strap on the back of the suitcase doesn't fit around the handle of the larger one. I'm disappointed because I was hoping to have a free hand while wheeling the suitcase through the airport.
I do love the case overall, just not the backstrap.

To be clear - I haven't used it on a plane yet, but overall really like this bag. I had shoulder surgery this year and am very aware that any bag with wheels will make my shoulder happy. Really like the back panel that will allow the bag to fit over my large pullman so I have only one bag to roll around in the airports and hotels. The teal print makes it look nice - way prettier than a solid dark lkie most bags. Can't wait for our Sept trip to France to try it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Motivated Excellent weekender or small carry on
We purchased this for my Mom. My Husband and I also have one. We love them.
The only downside is the wheels can't be replaced. The first time I actually checked it as luggage vs. carrying it on the plane, one of the wheels must have got stuck on the conveyor or something and the wheel is now smooth on one side and makes a clicking noise every rotation. I've had my bag for several years using it often. With the exception of the wheel it still looks new.
