Rated 5 out of 5 by WearLLBeanAboveAll Soft and light!
I purchased this towel as sort of a gift to myself; anything to help keep me on track to getting to the gym without any excuses; I take water aerobics twice a week.
It is large, light, very soft, super absorbent, and dries really quickly, especially if hung near a heat vent in the bathroom. It also happens to be my favorite color - but I'd love it even if it weren't. I liked it so much I got one for my daughter. I will be getting one in each size, for each of us, for our summer camping trips as well.

It is soft and picks up the moisture well. Also dries quickly after use. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars as it is not as compact as the microfiber backpacking towel Bean used to carry that I was trying to replace.

It is my fault for not looking closer at the picture but this is micro terry and not the microfiber towel I was hoping for. It is more like the ones you get for cleaning and isn't as compact as I hoped it could be. I was looking to get a "pretty" one to use like my husband's microfiber towel he uses. His are tactical ones and come in olive green and tan only. This type while pretty in color does not dry the body as quickly or dry after using very quickly. If you want pretty get this. If you want a functional quick drying and very compact storing and don't care what it looks like, search for the tactical microfiber towels.
I'll keep this for a backup to use in our storm shelter but it won't be an everyday camping, hiking, workout towel like I hoped it would.

I wanted to make sure the berry towel didn't bleed color onto other items in the laundry, and it's highly inconvenient to have to watch so carefully when it can damage so many other items in the wash. I soaked it and of course the water was full of dye. I soaked it again, and there was no less dye in the second soaking. The label warns about this, but I didn't dream it would be so full of residual dye. Normally polyester and nylon don't give these problems. I'm very disappointed that LLBean and Sea & Summit would put their good name on this product.

I bought this towel for an 11 month missions trip and I think it will be perfect. Loved the price!

I bought two towels for my two granddaughters--medium 20" x 40". They have swim lessons almost every week, and I knew these sucked up water well. I have one about this size myself which really helps get my hair dry when getting out of the pool. This size was fine for a 3- and 6-yr-old. I'm considering getting a larger size for myself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by STXTX It doesn't dry fast at all!
I haven't compared this to a regular cotton towel, but I was expecting some amazingly fast drying time. I had washed this in the washing machine and then hung it to dry, expecting it to be done quickly. Instead, it took about 6 hours to dry completely - not what I was expecting. The corners are also curled up and the towel isn't exactly rectangular anymore - more like odd-shaped oblong.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Emily16 Not the quality of the previously available Aquis
This towel will do as an extra, but will not be appreciated like the many Aquis brand towels we purchased from L.L.Bean in the past. Would love to have more of the Aquis towels, which are substantial in weight, have well made square corners and well finished edges Hope L.L.Bean will begin to offer the Aquis towels again. This Sea to Summit Tek Towel is flimsy and has 3 rounded corners and one square corner. The rounded corners curl inward as if elasticized. I won't be purchasing any more of these, and considered sending this one back to L.L.Bean, but will keep it as a spare when we are traveling in our RV. I do not recommend this product.

When traveling sometimes I prefer to use my own towel and this fits the bill. The XL is just he right size to use as a bath towel. Dries fast so you can pack it soon after using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GroverCat Very useful towel
Soft, very absorbent and quick drying, this takes up little space in gym bag or suitcase and adds little weight. It also takes up less space in the washing machine than a regular towel.I use this at the pool and lake and will take it camping. Superior to my Aquis in feel, color and drying time, its one drawback is that I had to buy the XL (instead of L) for adequate coverage when "wearing" it. (I'm a 16-14.)
I like having 2 such towels since I swim 4 x a week, and I'll also get one for my son.
