I wanted to like these. They are comfortable on my feet, but do not fit well when I walk (back half of moc is very wide on the pair I received). A smaller size would not work for length.

Purchased for my husband-he absolutely loves the style and the fit. Have always bought "boxed" slippers which are sized SM-MD-LG and the fit was less than perfect. These are more expensive and worth every cent. Can be worn outdoors as well. Highly recommend!

My husband got the blue color shoe last year, and asked to get a pair for my son. My 19 year old seemed excited seeing that shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by slipperslippper Too narrow...no variety of widths
I was really looking forward to these slippers! I was a bit concerned about there only being one choice in the width of the slipper. But being LL Bean I was confident that the width would be ok. I was wrong! The slippers were so narrow that I was not able to even get the slippers on and needed to return them. I then looked at all the slippers that Bean had at their website. There are about 12 styles and only 3..or so give any choice in the width. I am not a large man and do not wear "wide" shoes. I just don't understand how LL Bean can market footwear with only one, very narrow width. I have lost a good deal of confidence in a company that I have dealt with for decades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scuts Marvelous, especially for the price
I have owned these slippers for a little under a week now, so this is more of a first impression review. I've heard many good things about LL Bean, particularly for their lasting quality, so I decided to buy these. I originally wanted the normal leather slippers with flannel lining, but I heard the flannel material isn't as tough as the fleece, and at the time the normal leather with fleece lining was not immediately available, so I went with the blue suede. I am not one to buy colorful items at all. I found these to be somewhat silly at first, but I truly love how they look. I get compliments from my family, and even laughs but that's because I'm funny. Not because the slippers are funny. That would be ridiculous. My father has diabetic ulcers in his feet and he loved how comfortable these slippers were, but of course he uses something more custom-made for his condition. My mother quite liked these, too, and did not believe me when I told her that these only cost me about $40.
Build quality and durability: 4/5
These slippers feel and look very sturdy and well-made. Stitching looks strong and tight, and the rubber sole is REALLY tough. The sole has a rough, treadless design, disallowing debris to build up and making these very easy to keep clean. However, the grip is quite lacking on tiled floors, ESPECIALLY on humid days. If you will be walking around on smooth tile floors often, I do not recommend these slippers. However they grip just fine on my hardwood floor. I quickly upgraded the standard knot with a surgeon's knot, but upon doing this I found something that disappointed me. They weren't really tearing apart to any concerning degree, but tiny threads of the laces started to wear off immediately upon handling them. Hopefully with the surgeon's knot, I will not have to handle them ever again.
Comfort and fit: 4/5
I heard that these slippers run a little small, so I ordered a size 13, as suggested frequently. I had to return the 13s and order my usual size, a 12. I think it's slightly actively snug, but overall a much better fit than the 13s and certainly not uncomfortable. I think a 12 1/2 would've been perfect, but unfortunately they do not offer half-sizes. They are a bit long, but not silly looking. The fleece and padding are VERY comfortable and keep my feet plenty toasty. I can't wait to use these in the winter. Combined with the tanky rubber sole, I am able to walk on my sidewalk and even the rough blacktop comfortably, just as if I was wearing some equally nice shoes. I imagine the padding will flatten out over time and this won't be as luxurious, though perhaps this will even remedy the somewhat narrow fit and it will be a perfect size. We will see. Despite having a closed back, the boat shoe design makes these easy to slip your feet into and out of without any assistance of the hand. The aft of the shoe is not as tight as the stern, causing my foot to lift out of it when walking normally. I would've liked a little more grab there, so I feel like I am walking a little funky. But perhaps I will get used to it.
Overall, these are excellent slippers. ESPECIALLY for the price. I highly recommend these to anybody, but I would warn you that these are slippery on smooth tile flooring. The fit is a little long and a little narrow. If you've chubby feet, I would recommend going up a size.
I plan to update this review (at least I hope I can edit this) as soon as I experience any sort of issue with the shoe.

Nice slipper. Only downside is sizes are small. Order at least one size up. My size is 9.5, I ordered 11 and fit ok. Probable should have ordered up one additional size if wearing socks.
