Our records show you may have purchased or received a YETI Hopper Soft Cooler or Side Kick Dry Gear Case sold by L.L.Bean. The manufacturer, YETI, has advised L.L.Bean of a product safety recall affecting the Hopper M20 Soft Backpack Cooler, Hopper M30 Soft Cooler 1.0, Hopper M30 Soft Cooler 2.0, and the Sidekick Dry Gear Case (pouch). There is a possibility that the magnet lined closures of these products can fail and result in detached magnets, which poses a risk of serious injury or death if ingested.

For your safety, please immediately stop using the YETI cooler and/or dry gear case.

If you have a Hopper M20 Soft Backpack Cooler, Hopper M30 Soft Cooler 1.0, Hopper M30 Soft Cooler 2.0, or the Sidekick Dry Gear Case (pouch) you may return the product directly to L.L.Bean for a full refund. YETI is offering the choice of a suggested replacement product or a refund in the form of a YETI gift card with an additional $25 value.

SAFETY RECALL

Dear YETI Customer,

Our records indicate that you may have purchased a Hopper® M20 Soft Backpack Cooler, Hopper® M30 Soft Cooler (versions 1.0 and 2.0), or the SideKick Dry® Gear Case (described and pictured below) between March 2018 and January 2023. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, YETI is voluntarily recalling these products because the magnet-lined closures of these products can fail and result in detached magnets, which poses a risk of serious injury or death if ingested.

If you have one or more of the recalled products, please immediately stop using them and participate in the recall by visiting https://www.yeti.com/M20-M30-sidekick-product-recall.html or www.yeti.com and clicking on “Product Recall” at the bottom of the page for more information and instructions on returning the products and receiving your choice of either:

• A suggested replacement product of equal or greater value, or
• a full refund in the form of a YETI gift card with an additional $25 value.

This recall involves the Hopper® M20 Soft Backpack Cooler, the Hopper® M30 Soft Cooler (tote-style) (versions 1.0 and 2.0), and the SideKick Dry® Gear Case (pouch) (exemplars shown below). The recalled products have a main-pocket closure that uses high-powered magnets that are enclosed in a heat-sealed plastic strip. Additional product details are below.
