Dear Valued L.L.Bean Customer,
Our records show you may have purchased or received a Nemo Stargaze Luxury Recliner sold by L.L.Bean under Item ID 307469. The manufacturer, NEMO EQUIPMENT, INC. has advised L.L.Bean of a product safety recall affecting chairs manufactured in specific lot numbers. The black plastic hubs, which are used to provide structural support for the chair’s legs may fail, posing a potential fall hazard.
Please immediately stop using the chair.
Please review the enclosed letter from Nemo Equipment, Inc. and follow the instructions as described. If you have a chair with an affected lot number, Nemo is asking that you mail the chair to Nemo, free of charge. If your chair passes an inspection test, then Nemo will mail the chair back to you. If your chair does not pass an inspection test, then a replacement chair will be provided to you.

You have been identified as a customer who purchased a NEMO Stargaze Recliner Chair. NEMO is announcing a voluntary recall of the Stargaze Recliner Chair in cooperation with the U.S. CPSC for all models of this chair.
We’ve discovered a manufacturing defect in a several production lots of the Stargaze Recliner. The black plastic hubs in these lots, which are used to provide structural support for legs of the chair, were molded incorrectly and could fail, posing a fall hazard to the chair’s occupant. The affected hubs were produced in 3 lots and the recalled chairs can be easily identified by a production date stamp on the hub.

Consumers with affected chairs should immediately stop using the Stargaze Recliner and should use the website link above for the fastest service to initiate the return process. You may also call NEMO at 800-997-9301. NEMO will supply you with shipping labels for the return and will cover all shipping costs associated with the recall. Your chair will be inspected by NEMO and, if necessary, replaced. If your chair passes all inspection tests, your chair will be immediately returned to you.
