Rated 5 out of 5 by SPShopper Just what we needed
We needed a sturdy, heavy table because we live in a windy spot and must leave it out in the winter. This is the right table for the job. Easy to assemble; directions are clear; small tools included. Because it is heavy, it is really helpful to have a second person available. When the box arrives, there is no good place to grip and it is very hard to maneuver alone. Also, if you have a socket wrench with 3/8" attachment, use it - much quicker than the tool provided. Ours is dark green and looks very good. This is the first piece all the "all-weather" line we have owned. But we gave 2 Adirondack chairs to our son as a gift and they have held up well over time.

I bought this table (dark green) this spring and, so far, it has been through late spring snows, torrential rains, heavy winds and horrible heat and it still looks like it did out of the box. You may need two people to assemble it. The worst assembly problem was that the tool included had a long handle that made it impossible to reach one area to tighten the screw. We had to use another, shorter tool. The table is extremely heavy and well made. I also bought the folding all-weather chairs which are extremely sturdy and comfortable. as well as an LL Bean umbrella. I look forward to using this ensemble for morning coffee and evening dinners for many years to come.

by ShortsGal Small table but perfect for 4!
We wanted a table and chair set for our new dock, built on a lake in west central Florida. Having lived in Maine for many years, we knew that LL Bean was the place to go. The table is very heavy (won't blow over in a windstorm# yet small enough to leave plenty of space on the dock. The matching armless dining chairs #set of 2; we bought 2 sets# are comfortable enough without cushions to use for short-term wildlife watching or for a meal. Wish the "sand" color was more of a brownish shade #it's closer to gray# but still very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 rectangle picnic table
I have had my big white "milk carton" rectangle picnic table since 2004. Our summers are brutal in So. California and my table has been out in the elements. It has done wonderfully and I would not trade it for anything BUT I so wish I had purchased the green instead of the white. The little nooks and crannies collect the dirt and it is very very hard to get it clean. Even power washing doesn't do it completely!! What has done the best is a treatment that would have the L.L. Bean people gasping!! Right now, as I write this, my table is soaking with a 50/50 mixture of bleach and dish soap. I would not recommend this on a colored table. It doesn't take out everything, but it looks better. My advice is buy the green one!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by dadshops white all-weather furniture
We purchased the white all-weather table and chairs for our deck this spring (see my original review below). Everything about them is great except that the little nooks and crannies on the surface trap pollen and other particles, and it's very hard to get rid of that completely. The fresh-out-of-the-box blinding white has given way to something that looks just a little bit weathered. I have used a scrub brush and the rough side of a sponge, both of which help, but I suspect only a power washing will get rid of all of it. Probably not an issue with the darker colors, and it's not a deal-breaker with the white, but it is something to be aware of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dogsrpeople2 Love it
We purchased four garden chairs and the rectangle table in white. We love them! All pieces are sturdy, heavy, easy to clean and look nice. It took some effort to assemble all the pieces and the provided tool is tiresome. My clever husband sawed off the end of the tool and fit it into a power drill which worked great. The pre-assembled arms/sides of the chairs were assembled backwards so if your chair sits odd, check that before you proceed. LL Bean customer service was very responsive when we called and notified them of that problem. Apparently we were the first customer with that issue [which we corrected].
My only minor complaint is the table size -- it's quite narrow so buying tablecloths that fit has been a bit of a challenge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by b3ck79 Review from happy long, long, long time owner
I purchased the green square table + 4 chairs about 5+ years ago, AND... have 2 rockers + 2 Adirondack chairs - also green and the same material - that were purchased ~15 years ago.
All have been outdoors on an uncovered deck in rain, snow, sun, heat -- this is Indiana and they never come indoors or get covered or protected. They get lots of use.
The older pieces might be beginning to fade just a little; the newer (5-year old) ones look like the day they were delivered. Nothing has gotten loose or wobbly; all hardware is still tight and rust-free.
These might be the best purchases I've ever made.

by TheSartorialBean Great!
I did a lot of research before settling on this table and chairs, and it paid off handsomely. My primary concern was whether I would like the all-weather material. The "wood" turns out to be good-looking and gratifyingly substantial. The table is very stable, and the chairs are comfortable and slide easily on the deck. It's a setup that has prompted many a guest to sit down and linger.
We have the deck power washed every spring, and next year, the furniture will simply be power washed right along with it--a nice change from having the old wooden furniture scraped and painted. White was a great choice to go with the blue striped cushions and blue umbrella. I couldn't be happier!

by dadshops All-weather rectangular table + chairs
We just purchased the rectangular all-weather table, two all-weather garden chairs and four all-weather side chairs, in white. The garden chairs have the same back design as the side chairs, so they match nicely. The whole set is very, very sturdy and looks great on our grey and white deck. Crisp and classic.
For assembly, a cordless drill worked better than the tools that came with the pieces.
We saw similar sets elsewhere online for less than what we paid for all the pieces, but while the exact same 72" table seems to be offered by a lot of sellers (I suspect the same manufacturer, Poly-Wood, works for Bean and many other vendors), the chairs that came in those sets were cheaper-looking than and not as well-designed as the Bean ones. We opted for the higher LL Bean price to get the better-looking chairs and the no-hassle warranty service. So glad we did!

by RelaxingOnTheDeck Worth the wait!
I've been drooling over this table in the catalog for well over a year. 20% off sale (for LLBean card holders) convinced me to splurge. I LOVE IT!! So happy I didn't buy a cheaper table and waited for this one. Bought the bigger of the two. Had a nice dinner party the other night and everyone complimented me on the table and folding chairs. Not much assembly but it did require some muscle to turn the allen wrench (thank you neighbor Dave!). Phillips head screws would have been easier. It is beautiful, easy to clean, no splinters, and water beads right up. Extremely happy customer!
