[00:00:00.56] Today we're going to show you four ways to lace up your Bean boots for maximum comfort and style. Let's dive in. Let's start with an easy one, the Eastland knot. It's commonly seen on boat shoes, and can add a unique look to your boots. And the best part, it makes your boots easy to slip on and off without having to tie and untie them.
[00:00:19.24] First, take one of the laces and make a loop. Begin wrapping the lace around the bottom of the loop, making your way to the top. Make sure to wrap it tightly.
[00:00:28.32] Once you reach the top, feed the aglet, which is the plastic part on the end of the lace, through the top of the loop, and pull the coil up. This ensures that the end of the lace is secured. Repeat on the other side.
[00:00:41.12] Bonus tip. For a really unique look, combine the Eastland knot with some of the other lacing techniques we're about to show you. Before we go on, make sure you hit the Like and Subscribe buttons below.
[00:00:52.28] For a military-inspired look that really locks down your boots, consider the ladder lacing technique. Start from the bottom like you normally would, with the lace going through the two lower eyelets. Here's where it's different from normal crisscross lacing.
[00:01:05.90] Instead of crossing the lace to the eyelet on the other side of the boot, you're going to bring it up and put it through the one on the same side, creating a loop on each side of the boot. Now you cross the laces over, and through the loop on the opposite side. Bring the laces up, and through the eyelets on the same side, again, creating more loops. Repeat until you reach the top.

[00:01:28.18] The bar lacing technique creates a clean look, and may even relieve a little pressure, if you feel like a boot is usually too snug across the top of your feet. You'll start at the bottom again. But instead of lacing it from the inside out, you'll thread the laces from the outside in, keeping them even.
[00:01:43.42] Take the lace on one side, and bring it up, and through the eyelet directly above it. Then, bring the lace directly over the boot, and through the eyelet across from it. On the other side, skip the eyelet directly above it, and run it through the next one. Bring the laces directly across the boot, looping them through eyelets from the outside end.
[00:02:07.79] Now, on both sides, you'll skip the eyelet directly above the one you just threaded it through, and instead, thread it through the one above it. Cross the laces over again, and continue this pattern until you reach the top.
[00:02:20.75] Another fun way to lace your boots is a zipper lacing technique. It's a great way to get a locked-in fit with a little bit of style. Begin at the bottom, lacing from the inside out. Cross the laces under that lower bar, and bring them diagonally across to the next eyelet, like you would with a traditional crisscross lace, looping the lace through the eyelet from the inside out.
[00:02:42.87] Before bringing the lace diagonally across to the next eyelet, loop it under the lace on the same side, then bring it across. Continue doing this on both sides until you reach the top.
