I bought these boots because I have cold feet every winter and knew I'd be spending time outside this winter on a tree lot. I've worn them for several days outside during lot setup and they've stood up to cold temps and wind gusts like a champ. I like how easy they are to cinch up to the top with the laces, providing a lot of protection from the cold getting up under your pant cuff. They fit well with both heavy and medium weight wool socks. I have noticed that on occasion, I will feel a bit of rubbing on one boot's rear heel, but it's not enough of a problem to be truly bothersome. Overall, this is a very well-made, sturdy and warm boot that I am anticipating many years of use from.

Haven't been used much but look promising for heavy use and long wear. Perfectly comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 Excellent product & great customer service
Very pleased with this boot. Well made, very comfortable and look the biz with jeans. I am a size 11 and originally ordered a 10 (standard width), but the fit was far too snug. Exchanged for an 11 (wide) which are perfect. Hassle-free return of first pair with quick refund via PayPal. Great first experience with LL Bean.

These boots are excellent for keeping your feet warm and dry. However I am quite disappointed that for the price point these boots are at they are only 2 weeks old and already have substantial wear on the heels. At this rate the soles of the boots will be bald by the end of the season! and it's not even as if I work in them they are just my cold weather footwear for day to day function. Luckily I emailed LL bean customer service and they said keep them and if at any time they wear out before I think they should bring them back to have the soles redone under their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I absolutely love these boots! The are so comfortable and warm, almost to the point where my feet sweat if I wear thicker socks. They are definitely essential for any college student and hold up very well in the snow and slush.

I bought these for the harsh Swedish winter. They have excelled in so many ways. The sole is far better at gripping than one would expect, and they are so comfortable one never wants to take them off. The only advice I can give is, buy the shearing insert, as in the coldest of days, that area needs more insulation.

Good boot. They run slightly large but that's actually an advantage. I normally wear a size 10 shoe and ordered a size 10 in these boots. I wear a heavier wool sock and a lightweight one and they add to the warmth of the boots. The foot bed seems a little hard so I also use an extra insole. I treat the seams with Snow Seal to ensure they are waterproof. I walk my dog several miles a day on the trails in the woods and in all kinds of weather and now these boots are warm, comfortable and waterproof.

I received these boots at the beginning of the season and have been quite pleased with them. We've gotten about 2.5ft of snow over the last couple weeks and these boots have held up splendidly, even under a 4 mile trek in blizzard-like conditions. The insulation around the ankle is wonderful, but the footbed and toebox call for some heavier socks to keep your feet warm in snow. I've found the fit to be true to any other bean boots. The overall quality and construction of the boot is typical bean quality, save for 2 issues: one minor one more serious. First, after about a month of wear one of the LL Bean labels on the heel of the boot has begun to peel away. I glued it back into place, but it was something I had to take care of- no big deal. The second issue is the insole. It's cheap and comes out of the boot every single time I take them off. This is in part due to the curvature of the rubber part and partially because it's just cheap. It affords no cushion whatsoever and must have been included only so they could say this boot has an insole. Replace this with a quality after market insole and you're good to go. All in all, nice, lined, American-made boot for under $200 bucks, can't complain too much.
