áby jbwNPSVolunteer Great Camping Shelter
We researched several screen rooms/tents & rain flys/floor kits prior to purchasing the LL Bean model (with rain fly/floor). I have been a LL Bean customer for 40+ yrs. We are volunteers for the National Park Service (NPS) & wanted an adjunct space to our Airstream trailer. This is it! I waited until we could test this before writing this Evaluation. Today, we are stationed @ Cape Hatteras LightStation, NC, where the winds in the light house gallery are 35 MPH & 60 MPH gusts. Winds in our nearby campsite are 30-40 MPH. The tent has sustained high winds, 5-6" of continual rain w/o leaks, & has been a great space now for 3 months. I added extra tent stakes & guy ropes w/knot fixers. I would not recommend the tent w/o purchasing the rain fly/floor. The more horizontal walls are unique & add room & deflect water. A great value!

Rated 5 out of 5áby Glmunde Great camp screen.
After reading a lot of reviews we selected this for our camp outings to enjoy eating without bugs. What we could not determine from dimensions & comments is whether this would fit over the average size US Forest picnic table ... and it does. Although with many tables there is only 1' of space at one end to walk around; but we enjoy eating outside again. Seems to manage the wind, although we have not had it up in real gusty conditions; and if rain is a concern you will want the rain fly.

I use this screen house all the time while camping and I camp every month. It has held up in heavy winds and rain with no problem as long as you guy line it down properly and with the rain fly. I use it for my kitchen and can't be happier. I have owned a few other styles and brands and this is far better than all of them and roomier because the side walls are more cabin like. It has been used as a tent to sleep in when the weather is perfect and the view is just too beautiful to not have a 360 view. Buy the rain fly/floor separate. You will not be disappointed. I am buying another set to have for sitting inside when the bugs get the best of us. :)

Rated 5 out of 5áby RobJ Excellent quality screen house
When I began my search for a good quality screen house, the pickings were pretty slim. However, the Woodlands screen house stood out from the others because of the overwhelming positive reviews. I was a bit leery of buying from LL Bean because I had always associated it with yuppies and status-seekers. I stand corrected. This screen house sold me on LL Bean's attention to quality.
The poles were the first thing that struck me. They fit together so well and quickly, that I couldn't help but smile the first time I assembled them. The screen house material seemed durable but it wasn't until we set it up for a family camping trip that I realized how durable it was. It withstood grandchildren frequently coming in and out of the zippered door, then pushing folding chairs into the sides of it. There were no snags and no problems.
I've taken this screen house camping several times now and each time I have been impressed with how quickly it sets up and how durable it remains. It even survived a torrential rain storm with winds gusting up to 40-50 mph. I had draped a tarp over it before the storm hit and it was blown off overnight, but the screen house remained unscathed--but very wet.
I just ordered the fly/floor kit. It wasn't available when I ordered the screen house. The tarp I used covered 2 sides of the screen house and would probably be fine for moderate weather conditions, but to have all 4 sides protected sounds ideal to me.

Lightening-fast shipping (thanks!) and just in time for the girls' camping weekend. Easy to pack, carry and set up. Seems very sturdy. Held up fine in the wind. (We'll probably order the floor/fly kit for next year.) We liked having doors on both sides - one wall sized. I anticipate this will last for several years and really regret the countless $ thrown away on el-cheapo models in the past.
One especially nice feature is that the carrying bag is especially roomy, thus making it very easy to pack up after use (without that perfect factory fold). The same holds true for the pole bag.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Dalers Just what was needed
I purchased the woodland screen house and the fly and floor in the spring of 2013. This screen house lived up to the description. My set up required that the unit be weather proof due to an in ground sprinkler system. The fly was just what was needed to accomplish this. The fly is very tight but isn't that what you want when you use it. The fly is very stable to the frame of the screen house. I am glad I made this purchase and would recommend it.

áby moabyte The reviews were correct - this is a great tent!
I did a lot of research on screen tents, and because of the reviews of this tent I decided to spend 3x what another screen tent would have cost, and I am glad I did. We took this tent out last weekend and we wondered why we didn't get this tent a long time ago. We love it! Every detail has been thought out, even the colors are perfect. It is such a refreshing change, because I find when using most gear I have to wonder if the manufacturer ever even tried it out. I would not buy this screen house without the fly and floor, after all if you are going someplace buggy it probably also rains often. I would encourage LLB to simply sell both together, but it's probably because the other screen houses are so much cheaper, and we could not find another one that even had a fly at all, extra purchase or not. This tent is a great deal, and you will see that once you get it. We stayed completely dry in a downpour, and it sets up very quickly. I do want to thank the other reviewers for their detailed reviews, they were extremely helpful in making the decision. And LLB customer service during the order process was fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5áby AdirondackCanoer Top quality, well-designed
I got this to replace a Coleman hexagonal screen house. It's easier to set up than the Coleman and I like the square shape better. Loops and clips inside are good for putting up a clothesline and hanging gear and a lamp. Nice wide bottom flaps to keep bugs from coming underneath. We set some rocks and things on them to discourage rodents, too. The door zippers work easily and smoothly. The fly/floor kit was sold out, so I rigged a tarp over it in case of rain. It was a sanity saver for camping in the Adirondacks during summer bug season.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Karlsyn BEST screen house we've purchased
Over the last 10 years we've purchased about 5 screen houses, primarily because they never lasted more than the summer. We leave our screen house up all summer in the back yard, so the sun and elements can give it a thorough beating. All others have succumed. Although we've only had the Woodlands screen house a few weeks, it is the best constructed and has best materials we've seen, and the easiest to set-up. I'm very optimistic about its durability. My only gripe with L.L.Bean is that they ran out of the optional rain cover and floor kit, and don't expect any to be available for 5 months. What's with that???
I will update this after the summer hammers it!!
