áby jbwNPSVolunteer Great Camping Shelter
We researched several screen rooms/tents & rain flys/floor kits prior to purchasing the LL Bean model (with rain fly/floor). I have been a LL Bean customer for 40+ yrs. We are volunteers for the National Park Service (NPS) & wanted an adjunct space to our Airstream trailer. This is it! I waited until we could test this before writing this Evaluation. Today, we are stationed @ Cape Hatteras LightStation, NC, where the winds in the light house gallery are 35 MPH & 60 MPH gusts. Winds in our nearby campsite are 30-40 MPH. The tent has sustained high winds, 5-6" of continual rain w/o leaks, & has been a great space now for 3 months. I added extra tent stakes & guy ropes w/knot fixers. I would not recommend the tent w/o purchasing the rain fly/floor. The more horizontal walls are unique & add room & deflect water. A great value!

Wonderful screen-house! I set it up alone in about 20 minutes. It is incredibly simple to assemble and make ready for use. It would have been faster with help, probably 10 minutes with two people.
One side has a small zippered door, the opposite side has a large zippered door. We were able to carry in a picnic table through the large zippered door. My kids loved the screen-tent for shade, bug-free games & a dry place in the rain (I purchased the rain fly as well). My 2 yr old niece had trouble with the doors as they don't zip down to the ground. Each door has a 8-10 inch threshold (probably a design aspect that allows this to become a tent with floor). She had trouble getting in and out of the screen-tent without tripping, but the older kids and adults were fine. If you can't step up and out over the threshold without needed a hand-hold or help - this might not be the screen-house for you.
The poles are rugged with good shock cords. The bag with the screen-house was generous enough to repack the tent, rain-fly, floor, ropes, stakes, and poles easily.
The whole thing passed with flying colors and really got tested. It survived a tropical storm and an extreme thunderstorm (I have wonderful weather luck) that went through our area while camping. No damage rips or major leaks!

We are very pleased with our screened in tent. High quality and easy to take up and down. Would recommend getting the rain fly and floor.

I had spent several weeks looking for the perfect screen house to use while car camping. Although this item is pricier than other models, the money is well worth it! It assembles easily and quickly. It fits nicely over the federal park picnic tables. It keeps the bugs out well. It weighs very little, but is substantial enough to withstand small gusts of wind. We loved this screen tent! I did not purchase the rain fly, and will likely do so; the slanting roof did not withstand a torrential downpour, but we would not have expected it to do so. We would highly recommend this to any families needing protection from sun and bugs.

My husband and I just returned from a camping trip where we used our Woodlands Screen House for the first time. It met all our expectations. This is easy to set up and take down and was easy to pack. We made sure it was guyed out and it withstood very breezy conditions. We also purchased the rainfly and were glad we did. There was a torrential downpour during the week. Everything in the screen house stayed perfectly dry. I would definitely recommend these products!

Rated 5 out of 5áby JohnNJean Pricey but Excellent Screen Room & Easy to Put Up
I was surprised that there were no instructions on putting the screen room together but anyone who erected a pole tent should have no problem. It is quite intuitive just like Apple :)
It conveniently holds a standard picnic table but not but else. It would nice if there was a 12 by 12 size. And it does have nice sized screened doors to be able to carry the picnic in if need be.
It is about twice the going price for a 10 by 10 screen room but it is a quality product based on using it once so far.
It does not screen out no-see-ums but that appears to reduce air flow which is very important on a hot summer evening.

Itook this screen room to boy scout camp. It really was nice. We had very bad rain and winds for three days. I used It as a tent. I had the fly and floor and really needed them. I put wood pallets on the floor ; and it worked well. No rain in the tent and no wind damage. It is very nice and looks good.

Purchased to be a portable backyard screen porch - and it serves this purpose well. Would have received 5 stars if it had not been a bit difficult to set up. Takes two people and we still cannot get one of the clips to attach. Big enough for four with room to spare and keeps our bumper crop of mosquitoes at bay.

i was looking for a screen house to put on my deck for a long time.ireally didn't want to spend a lot of money and found several for less than 100.00 but the reviews on those were not very good.then i came across the ll bean woodlands ss and after reading reviews and several said that it lasted many yrs i decided to buy this one even though it was more money.it wasn't as easy as i thought it would be to put it up but my husband and i finally realized that we needed to put the legs into the grommet on bottom of corners so that the roof poles would bow to hold up roof.anyway we figured it out and couldn't be happier.our deck is 10x14 so we still have 4 ft for our flower pots and the big door allows us to walk through and down the steps when we leave the house.it also gives pretty good shade even though the top is a light color.we used the guide lines to secure it to the deck railing and so far no problems with wind.it can also be easily dropped down in case of high winds of like 65 mph or more and now that we know what to do we can raise it right back up.we have to wicker chairs a glider rocker .2 seater and a coffee table with more than enough room left over to walk around easily or put a reclining beach chair out there too. we will be leaving it up till end of september.will let you know how we make out. love it .my cats love it too.they are indoor cats but i can go out there with them and not have to worry about them getting out or mosquitos.the flaps on the bottom are about 10 inches and lay toward the inside.i love this screen house!

áby shopgirl52 Very Pleased !!!
We were going Camping,so needing a screen tent , came to LLbean, because we know the quality of our many purchases before. The reviews of the Woodlands Screen House , plus the fact we liked the look of it? we then proceeded to Purchase it. The first great thing is how fast it was delivered,... but when we arrived at the campsite, put up our pop-up ,we then proceeded to put up the screen house. It was ''so '' easy to put up,nothing like some we've had before.. and the colors were really as nice as the on-line picture.. The quality of the screen, and zippers, the bottom inward flap ,sturdy poles, vertical height, were just what we were looking for. The size was perfect for us to sit and read under,or watch movies . It did rain during our stay, (not a major storm) and our chairs were placed more toward the center and stayed dry?we didn't order the rain/floor fly ''yet'' because for us ,if it's that bad of a storm we usually get in the pop-up? but, we may order it later for an extra camping room if needed?our Son-n-law was surprised at how easy it was to put up we have both had screen tents that were a trial to get up in the past and the zippers did ''not'' hold up long?so we are really completely pleased.. and know we'll get lots of great use ,because we could see and feel the quality,? :)
