Rated 5 out of 5 by Becky1234 Comfortable, flattering
Wore this shirt hiking and rock climbing. Definitely moves with you, fabric is lightweight and comfortable for hot days. I like the higher cut neckline and cap sleeves for a slightly more modest fit than many other active shirts.

I was excited to get this shirt. Too sheer- it went back. Love LL Beans return policy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chloe33 Excellent fit, please re-stock size Small!
This tee is great for exercise and casual wear. It fits me better than other active tops I have purchased from LL Bean. I have the lime green, and have the gray on back order. I would order several more in different colors if they were available. Please re-stock size Small in all colors!

Rated 4 out of 5 by EricaCA Athletic Shirt Review
This shirt is one of three in this review. I?m writing out my observations on the 3 active wear shirts I ordered, since a side by side comparison may be helpful for some. The folks at customer service were very nice to me, so I wanted to take the time to write out a thorough review hoping this could help someone else choose the right workout shirt for them. I?m 5?8.5?, currently 160lbs, & working on being more athletic and have some softness around the arms, tummy and torso I?d like to lose. I?ve always thought my shoulders are wide- the widest point they are 17?. I also have a long torso.
Trail Tee (Medium): The material is 96% Poly/4% Spandex. It feels soft almost like a cotton blend, medium weight, and has stretch. It?s the most comfortable material in my opinion, since I like the feel of natural fibers, but want the performance of synthetic. The sleeves are short and like a cap-sleeve. They also feel a little tight around my arms and shoulders as I have wide shoulders, but since I line-dry all items of this type of material when doing laundry, I think it will loosen up a bit over time. The fit is ?Slightly Fitted? so it?s a flattering cut around the middle and not too tight. The neckline is good for me, just below the clavicles so it?s modest and feminine. The ruching up top and the curved cuts of the panels make this shirt the most ?feminine? of the cuts. The length on me wearing it ends up at 25?, so I?d say about mid-pelvis. I could use a little more length but that?s just my personal preference as I like a little more coverage when I wear Spandex pants at the gym.
BeanSport Crewneck Tee (Medium): Material is 100% Poly. It feels quite synthetic, a thin medium weight fabric, almost no stretch or give. Sleeves are a little longer than the Trail Tee above. It feels just right in my shoulders and arms. The neckline is higher the Trail Tee, and shows the center of the clavicles only, which is fine by me as I like to limit sun exposure on my chest. Cut is less ?girly? than the Trail Tee but it?s still streamlined and flattering, not tight around the middle. This fit is also ?Slightly Fitted?. The cut of the pattern is athletic with the seams and side panels, and is slightly shorter than the Trail Tee in terms of where it falls on my hips worn. Perhaps this is due to the stiffness of the material.
Fitness Tee (Medium): Material is 94%Poly/6% Elastaine. It?s softer than the Crewneck Tee above, but feels almost like Spandex with a lot of give, and is also a thin material. This is a slight issue with me, because no matter how athletic and thin I?ve been in the past, I don?t like clingy clothing that shows the outline of my bellybutton if I?m wearing it as a shirt. With that said, this would be great for a light-weight base layer since it?s as thin as an undershirt IMO. The sleeves are the longest and the neckline is the highest of all 3 shirts. The cut is ?Fitted? so it?s snug, which is why it would make an appropriate base layer tee. The length is the longest of all, and sits at 26? on me worn. I like the extra coverage, so I got one in a size large as well to see if it would work.
The large is cut quite large. Surprise, I know. I just didn?t expect it to be cut that much larger than the medium. There was a good 2? on each side that I could pinch off in extra fabric. The shoulders were wide and loose. The difference in sizing was surprising. Medium was as snug as a rash guard, the large fit like a pillowcase- boxy.
In the end I think there are occasions and personal preferences that would call for each of these, so I hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LaBibliotecaria Cute and Versatile, Sporty and Casual
I will admit that I ordered this shirt primarily for looks, secondary for function, and I am not disappointed! The actual product looks just as cute in person (or even better) as the picture on the website. It looks cute enough for casual wear and I plan to wear it to the mall, movies, and casual Friday at the office. Although the length is decent, my lower abs still gets exposed when I raise my arms during Hatha Yoga, so for now I have restricted to using it only for Yin Yoga (as far as exercise is concerned). The fabric is very thin so the lighter colors are probably see-through, but that is not a problem with my shirt because I bought the lovely Iron color. Also, the description says it is Slightly Fitted but the fit on me is actually Fitted, so I exchanged my usual size XS for size S for a comfortable fit. For reference, I am 5'3" and 128 lbs. (muscle weight) with 34A bra size. I highly recommend this product in darker color and one size larger than your normal shirt size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by IndyB wish for Petite sizing
PLEASE PLEASE LL Bean make active tops in petite sizes!! Everything is WAY too long!! PLEASE
The only reason I would not recommend to a friend would be if they were wanting a petite. One of the reviewers was tall with a long torso and said it was the perfect length, well I am short with a very short torso, please make petite sizing in active tops.
thanks LL Bean

I really loved this perfect warm weather shirt. I'm a bit tall in the torso and this shirt is long enough to cover me. It's a perfect blend of not too tight but not boxy and unflattering. I"M SAD THE LAVENDER SOLD OUT SO QUICKLY! I would have purchased another. The aqua is a beautiful shade also and I purchased several colors in this. I am 5'8" and 175 and the large was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanMegs Best fitting LL Bean top in a long time
This shirt has a perfect fit. I like the coverage and style, and the fact that it keeps me cool and can dry overnight with a hand washing if necessary. Now I just wish it came in black. Yes, it can pill a little, but agree with the reviewer who said that isn't so bad since the fabric has a slub look anyway. Taking it to Alaska this summer. Would buy more if less pastelly colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by activeB FINALLY, Lime Green!
Enough of the teacup pastels!
I keep hoping LLBean will move on and give the rest of us a few edgy colors to chose from. This was the first item I've seen that gets beyond the "soft clover". I love the fit of the pima cotton tops and hoped that this might just fit both bills - fit AND color, but alas, from the other reviews I see that this particular top is too long and see through.
Darn! ...but maybe hope is on the horizon.
