I really like these for a light base layer. They are comfortable and breath well so you don't over heat. Great for high level activity or for sitting around. I wear them all the time for work in the winter when I'm constantly going inside and outside

Rated 2 out of 5 by VirginiaBoomer Very strange hems in the seat
I ordered the bright orange ones via the website. When I tried them on, I found the hems in the pants seat to run in a "V" design across my buns, rather than vertically up the middle. Reminds me of the old jock strap. Very uncomfortable to sit on for long. I am returning them to local L.L.Bean store.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Millwrite Fell apart after 2 uses
The stitching on this product disintegrated after just two uses. Washed them twice, never put in the dryer (always line dried) and they fell apart. These were expensive for a lightweight base layer and I didn't expect junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Penguin65 Lightweight but warm
My husband says he thinks the pants will be great. He has not had an occasion to wear them yet as the local ski area is not open so far.

Very light weight but yet do the job , providing an base layer. I wear them under jeans and they keep me comfortable in cool weather. Seem well made and should last awhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JC70 Great fit, light weight.
My wife and I have been using Polartec Power Dry base layers for years now. Prior to this I have always used the medium weight or the expedition weight type Polartec. I wanted something for the days when the temps are in the low 30's or mid 20's and I am going to be walking briskly, cross country skiing or snow shoeing. This weight for the pants and shirt are just perfect for those types of activity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by InternetShopper2 Power Dry lightweight pants
I have been wearing my second set of Power Dry lightweight underwear, both the Tall long pants and Tall short sleeve shirt. I am glad the short sleeve shirt is available, as I often wear short sleeve shirts, or a long sleeve undershirt is sometimes a bit too much to wear.
I am 6'1, 220#, and the tall large in both shirt and pants fit me perfectly. The waist sits at my natural waist, and doesn't slide down or allow the shirt to be untucked. I like to wear one piece union suits the best, so I don't have to deal with the shirt coming out, but this pair does well, and hasn't bothered me. They are comfortable to wear under my regular clothes indoors, and keep me warm in 30 degree weather when I go outside, without having to put a coat on for brief trips outdoors.
I am OK with the design bottoms of the legs, but wear the underpants over my socks. Other long underpants have a cuff at the bottom. These have a fly front, and are so much better and convenient than another company's pant, with no fly. Why someone would make this type of clothing without a fly is a mystery to me.
I am OK with the colors, and a change from white and black is good - helps with sorting in the laundry!
If there is another sale, will likely buy another set.

Great product. Very well made and comfortable. And most importantly, really helps keep me warm as I am always cold to the bone
My suggestion to LLBean is to make the end of the leg with an elastic type fabric to prevent the material sliding up you leg when you put a mid weight or heavy weight layer over it and have to chase it up your leg. If it had this it would be flawless. But still great as noted in the stars above.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Paulyboy Good but??
These seem well made but two things are worth mentioning.
First, they came in a stout cardboard box about a foot long x
3" deep. And I mean stout-heavy brown cardboard C'mon llbean, do we really need that?
Also, the box proudly states the material is Polartec Power Dry Stretch fabric, but nowhere on the actual garment does it say Polartec. I must have 20 items from Polartec, and everyone of them has a Polartec tag sewn in somewhere. Hmmm.....
How about a response llbean if you even post this review!?
