This raincoat is everything I've wanted...super stylish, lightweight, and repels water like a duck. It's perfect.

I have already used this jacket on a rainy day when I was running errands. It was great! Lightweight but kept me dry, which is the main reason I bought it. The fit was good with some room to move. Love the color too! Another great product from LL Bean.

This is a great jacket. It is a bonus for me that there are petite sizes. The price point is a little better than comparable jackets from high end competitors.
However, the drawback for me was the small pockets in the front. They are not deep. I would be worried I could lose mittens, glove or anything else that I would shove in there while hiking, xc skiing or dodging rain.
The brilliant blue color was too light. I figured it would show grime in the use areas. Hard to clean on these types of jackets
One plus for this jacket is that it is not as stiff as the Gore-Tex Pro version of this jacket. Easier to stuff in a pack.
I also considered the Gore-Tex stowaway jacket but the colors were boring.
There are so many choices, levels of comfort with wind and rain protection, fit and pricing that it becomes a challenge to find what you want.
One of these years LLBean will nail it for me. I'll keep looking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 4DogsCT Love the Jacket
It was finally time to replace my LL Bean Stow Away Rain Jacket. Mine was many years old and has gotten to the point that my shoulders would be damp when by the time I walked the second dog (I have 4). I knew I wanted another green jacket. I finally decided on the Pathfinder jacket in Clover Green. Brighter than my Stow Away but I love the color. I ordered a regular large and the fit is good. I do however agree with previous comments about the pockets being too shallow. I don't think my cellphone would fit safely. It does however keep me very dry and works well with my Trail Model Rain Pants. I would have purchased another Stowaway Jacket as I love the Goretex but did not care for the colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lovenature Good rain jacket for hiking
This jacket is designed to wear under a backpack. It is great in the range of motion in the arms and back and roomy for layers underneath.Fabric is great, not stiif and noisy. I just wish it came in talls. I am 5'9" and this jacket hits just below my waist. Definately getting wet in the back if I don't wear the rainpants. I wish it was maybe 3 inches longer. That is the length of other brands who make comparable jackets. The lack of a two way zipper doesn't bother me because the jacket is too short for that to be an issue when you sit down if you are tall.

I bought this jacket in store about 6 months ago. I was moving to the pacific northwest and wanted a nice waterproof jacket for the rainy winters. This jacket is perfect, waterproof and comfortable. I am 5'2 and 104lbs I got a Misses XXS in red. It fits wonderfully with enough room for me to wear a fleece and llbean packable vest underneath for extra cold days. The only thing is the hand pockets are very shallow, however this has not really been a problem. I just store my phone in the inside pocket of the jacket and my cards and ID in the chest pocket. I love this jacket, perfect for running around town and hiking in the woods.

Rated 2 out of 5 by GraceAmazing unusually disappointed
I ordered this jacket as a replacement for an LLBean jacket that I had had for many years and recently lost on an airplane. I really loved the old jacket so I started with LLBean when shopping for a replacement. I usually have excellent luck with LLBean so I was surprised and disappointed when I had to return this jacket. I ordered my usual size (petite medium) but the jacket was too tight. I also wasn't happy with the fabric, the length of the sleeves, or the location of the pockets. That being said, I plan to look for another LLBean jacket but in the store this time instead of the catalog.

I ordered one for myself in red and one for my husband in black. We traveled all over Alaska and the Canadian Rockies with them and I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile and protective it is. We weathered many rain storms and cold environments, while subsequently exposed to hot rays from the sun, sometimes within the span of the same day. In each instance, this jacket performed outstandingly. The main issue for me was protection from water, and it did its job very well.
The fabric is slightly on the stiff side but it really traveled well and did not wrinkle up or become worn looking.
If I had to critique one thing, it's the hoods. They were not the easiest to adjust or to keep from blocking the view when fully pulled forward, but it's a minor issue compared to the overall usability of the jacket.
For anyone who wishes to layer with other items underneath, definitely opt for the next larger size to give yourself enough comfortable room. I am 5'3" and weigh 150. I ordered the Misses Petite Extra Large and it worked perfectly for me. My husband is 185 lbs, and 5'11". We got him the Men's Tall Large.

Very good quality coat, which it should be for the money. Time will tell if it retains its waterproof qualities.

This jacket was recommended to me by a friend. I really like it. The only thing I would change is the depth of the outside pockets.
I do not feel comfortable leaving my keys in them unzipped.
Otherwise, it is a great fit, and very comfortable. I love this color and would like to see it in other pieces that you sell.
