If your little ones are losing their teeth ( like my 6yr son ) this bottle is NO GOOD because they need to bite down in order to drink out of it . I would not recommend this product for children 6 yrs and younger .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tinylittle This is a big hit!
We got the purple one for my 2.5 yo and she LOVES it. Is totally obsessed with it and it doesn't leak a bit. So glad I got it and I may buy a second one.

My boys love this CamelBak for kids! It holds more than I had expected, and it helped them to stay hydrated during a cold camping weekend because they were excited to use it. We will be getting another one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by climberdave bite valve comes loose
Our little daughter really likes this thing...but we are not so psyched. The bite valve is just sort of wedged into the cap of the bottle, and it is not that hard to push the valve partially or fully into the bottle. When that happens, the valve is no longer watertight, and water can spill everywhere...and has done just that a couple of times in the two weeks we've owned it. Very cute designs, but we're not big fans of the functionality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AmyZH No more rubber button?
We've bought 8 of these over the last 4 years. The first three had a true rubber "button" to push, to help you pop it open. But the next five had no button. The description right now claims the existence of a "button," but I'm guessing that isn't what they originally had, and that the old type of button is still missing in this latest generation of bottles. Instead, there is a hard plastic knob that has to be forced. That's harder for little hands.
And yes, they do leak. However, if you take a big sip and then close it immediately, it is less likely to leak. But if you sip lightly, and leave the straw up and open, it seems to create air pressure inside the bottle, forcing the liquid out. Definitely worse on airplanes. We stick to water, we don't take them on planes, and we expect the possibility of leaks, and it's fine.
Bottom line is, I've yet to find anything better for kids who have outgrown sippy cups, but these are still not perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Camelbak Terrible - leaks everywhere
"Never spill"?? This thing has ruined the seat of a leather chair, a pale-upholstered daybed and an expensive wooden coffee table. It discharges its entire contents as soon as it's on its side. AWFUL! DON'T BUY!

Rated 3 out of 5 by AliSch Decent but has a flaw
This cup is durable and fun. However it has a design flaw. If there is anything besides water in it or if you experience a change in air pressure during traveling, the spout leaks out its contents. There is no air vent to allow the release of the pressure so pretty soon your table or diaper bag is soaked with its contents. This is such a bummer considering it is a great looking cup and holds quite a bit of fluid. Unfortunately I can't recommend this.

Bought this for my Grandsons birthday. It was just what I was looking for. Great for hikes and any time you need to take a drink.
