Stabilicers provide very secure footing on ice and slippery surfaces. Highly recommended.

I asked my local postman what he used when walking his route in icy conditions, and his answer was stabilicers. they can be adjusted very securely to your shoes or boots and are comfortable at the same time. it's great that the metal "ice grabbers" are replaceable if necessary. I feel very secure walking my dog in icy conditions when wearing the stabilicers. Don't go for the less expensive options. your well-being is more important, not to mention cheaper than a doctor or hospital visit!

Rated 5 out of 5áby SmokyMountainHiker Stabilicer Ice Cleats
The 3rd pair that I have ordered from you was needed for the size 14 EEEE boots that I recently purchased (prior sizes were just for 12's--for me & a son). Believe I was the one initially responsible for those in our 250+ member hiking group who have ordered Stabilicer Ice Cleats. Because they can typically be worn on stretches of "regular" trail between ice patches, I believe that they are the best for the trails of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Have also used on dog walks in my rural neighborhood; our streets are not priority ones for being graded after snow.

For the last few weeks, we had snow, ice, and rain. I put on the Stabilicers over both walking sneakers and boots. They were a little difficult to put on, but they were so worth the effort.
As long as you put them correctly, they prevent slipping on ice. They do feel a little unstable, but it is because the cleats screw directly into the rubber. However, once you get used to that, I found that there was no side-to-side movement or problem with them slipping off either my sneakers or boots. Make sure to put them on tight and check the cleats before each wear.
I have used them three times but would not hesitate to wear them for peace of mind. I like them so much, I am thinking of buying a second pair to keep on my winter boots.
They are well made and I think they will last for years to come. Definitely worth the money.
Thanks for another great product.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Foundagoodthing 4 inches of ice on the driveway!
I purchased these Stabilicers for a friend who lives on the shores of Lake Ontario. The ice on her driveway was 4 inches thick. She couldn't go outside for days. She uses a snow-blower and ice-pick to try to clear a path for her car. She is in her 60's and I was very worried about her. The Stabilicers arrived and she absolutely loves them. They fit perfectly and are very easy to put on and take off. She said that she feels so much more confident and safe when she goes to work. She can wear them while driving and getting into and out of her car to do errands and shop. They are light and don't have a lot of metal that would make them harder to put on. The velcro allows for a secure fit. Great product!

These stabilizers are awesome. I walk my dog on snow/ice filled hilly roads and feel very secure. Fit well and go on and off easily. Now I can get out and walk in the winter. My dog is happy about it too.

Rated 5 out of 5áby elliegal Stabil-LIKER-s!
These babies ROCK! I hope Spring never comes! Used the "other" brand of ice grippers and they fell apart after two treks! At first I didn't want to spend the money, but after reading all the reviews I ordered them and couldn't be happier! Use them with my great LL Bean snow sneakers!! :)

Rated 5 out of 5áby SpokaneMan The Best Ice Traction, period
Glare ice, sheet ice, frozen slush, snow -- it doesn't matter, StabilIcers are perfect for all of them. Don't waste your money on cheaper ones. These are easier to get on and off and are much more durable. Best of all they work better. When you hit a patch of iron hard frozen slush, you will no longer have to detour. You'll just walk right over it without hesitation. And when the metal studs wear down, just screw new ones in. Here in our family, we had two dislocated shoulders and one concussion from slips on ice -- before we finally found these. Since then, not even a slip. And last week, I even wore mine fly-fishing. They are just as good on rocky river bottoms as they are on ice and snow. Just wish I'd bought them before I fell and dislocated a shoulder.

Rated 5 out of 5áby 3GoldensRule Worth it
Purchased these after a puppy ate the straps off a pair I had owned for over 11 years. I have tried several other types of ice cleats and these are by far the best. The straps allow you to adjust to your boot for a perfect fit. Even after 11 years the velcro held tight. You can even change the screws out on the bottom. I never had the need to as they always worked just great. I do have a friend that changes her screws out every year, it makes her feel better. They are a bit heavy but you get use it. We have a lot of ice in the winter and I would be stuck in the house if I didn't own these. Owning three goldens that is not an option, they want mom to come out and play. Not to mention work.

Rated 5 out of 5áby riverart They stay on!
I have tried other brands such as yak traks and these are by far the best I have found so far. They all keep you from slipping but these actually stay on my feet for the entire time I am walking. I wear them on both my hiking boots as well as my Bean winter boots and I use these on moderate trails. The other day the trails were all ice and I was able to do my usual walk with relative ease. My dogs were slipping but I was not. Occasionally my foot would loose grip but what is nice is that when it slips, it is a gritty slip so your foot does not just shoot out from beneath you. You are able to still maintain an certain amount of control. They seem to be of good quality but I have not had them very long so now I only hope they will last.
