Washed before I wore them. Perfect fit. Comfortable. I could not find real jeans in the store and these are exactly what I was looking for. I wanted the original jean fabric not the stretchy stuff. No one sells them any more. But L.L. Bean does.

Because of my shape, I have trouble finding jeans that fit me. I also dislike low rise jeans. LLBean jeans are perfect for me. I like how they fit at the waist so my stomach doesn't hang over. I get the medium tall because I'm long legged and they shrink just a little so they are not dragging but not too short either. They wear well so they last a long time so I don't have to buy them very often. This is the only place I buy jeans from.

These are the only jeans I could find that fit above by waist and fit in length also. I am short, 4' 11''. I love these jeans. They also last a long time. It takes quite awhile before you see them starting to wear. I always order my jeans from them and will continue to do so.

I've been on a quest for comfortable jeans. Real jeans, not knit ones or some sort of spandex hybrid. Jeans that aren't pinchy in the waist, tight in the tummy, or gap in the back. You'd think I was hunting for a purple squirrel. After months of looking, and a lot of near-misses, I tried several pairs of LL Bean jeans before deciding that I'd order a pair three sizes larger than my typical size and then just take them to the tailor to be taken in where they were too big. This strategy was successful. The too-large jeans didn't pinch in the waist or stretch uncomfortably tight across my tummy. They had a huge gap in the back that my tailor took in. The result? Jeans that fit this body and not some corporate ideal. It was an expensive fix, but at the rate I replace jeans, totally worth it.

I love these jeans. I own four pair. A color of each. Two in medium tall and two I'm the tall. I love them all. I'm a bit vintage when it comes to my clothes and that's what makes these perfect. They are a style from a bit ago. I'm not a trendsetter and do not like skinny jeans. Absolutely a perfect buy for me. Thank you LLBean

Although I wanted these jeans for working around the house, gardening, etc., I still wanted them to fit well because I'm just vain that way! These are high in the waist, but that's okay because they fit nicely through the hips and thighs and look good enough to wear to town for errands. I'm 5'3" and the regular size is the perfect length. One note: these are made from thick material. I expect it to hold up well but it's slightly uncomfortable on hot, humid days.

I love these jeans! Just wish they still came in the darker denim color
so that color looks more suitable for work, a little dressier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TomGrrrl Double L Jean - Well made misses jeans
I have been an advocate of these jeans for years; the quality of these jeans are incredible. Most jeans for women/misses you buy today are light weight stretch jeans; however, if you are looking for a good quality working jean, you will find it in L. L. Bean's Double L jeans - simply, they are made to last and are able to do heavy work. The only thing L. L. Bean could do to improve this jean, is to make the Traditional have a boot leg cut!

Rated 5 out of 5 by 005grl Quality cotton comfort at last.
Thrilled to find old-fashioned comfort, quality and looks of cotton denim -- not the toxic-scented modern stretch fabrics that compromise dependable fit. Their well cut waist into hip area encourages me to drop a few extra waistline pounds. They are not sloppy nor are they ridiculously tight. On all counts, they are top quality and stylish, so much nicer than stretched out chemical denim, Love them for hiking through brush covered hillside trails, for temperature adjustment on windy days and with a cool sweater and sandals for summer casual "dress up."
I have found no other cotton denim jeans. They are great for hiking for their protective ability and breathability. Best find in quite a while.
