The cover is not as soft as I was expecting. The comforter makes a "crunchy" sound. I have another LLBean (down) comforter that is warm and comfy but also sounds "crunchy." I prefer not to hear my comforter when I roll over in bed.

If you've ever owned a cotton comforter you will hate this one. I've tried through 2 seasons to like this one and it fails. It doesn't "breathe"
It's like being under a plastic bag. I'm sorry I didn't do my homework and see that it was synthetic. It crinkles, I could forgive that.
But it doesn't breathe so it ends up being TOO warm some nights when it shouldn't be (I sleep with the window open a lot).
I've washed and dried it twice hoping it would get softer or more likable. The good news is it washes and dries well, but it doesn't change it's basic nature. A waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShadowValleyFarm I love it, as expected
The comforter's crinkling sound, as others have complained about, is negligible at worst and pleasant at best, and is muffled anyway by my flannel duvet cover. Shipping was prompt. Thanks, Bean!

Couldn't believe that such a lightweight comforter could provide such warmth. Love it!

The detailed comforter is nicely stitched so the batting won't move around but the noise of crinkling is a little annoying. Every time you move it makes the rattlilng noise. Other than that it is a nice comforter. It also took three months to receive it!

Love this comforter. It did make some noise the first week but went away after several nights sleeping under it. My husband and I love it. Worth every dollar. Thanks again LL Bean for another product we will enjoy for years to come.

I love it. It crinkles as other reviews mention, but definitely not a problem. I keep my mobile home temp around 65degrees and my comforter is plenty warm.

Well right out of the box it looks and feels wonderful. It is a little noisy but is not bothersome. The king size width was a couple inches less than what was stated which really bothers me but I got past it with all the positive attributes. Thats why it didn't earn the full five stars. I haven't washed it so I can't account for that.

Whenever I buy a comforter it comes in a full/queen size which is a little too big for my liking. This comforter is true to size, full, and it fits my bed beautifully. The only thing with this comforter is that the material is crunchy. It makes a crunchy sound whenever I move about during the night. I've washed it a few times to try and get the material to soften up but it still makes that sound. I do love it all the same and will continue to use every night. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThePurveyorofTruth This is not a comforter
Recently I purchased a PrimaLoft Down Alternative Comforter, warm. When the package arrived, I promptly opened it. What I discovered was not a comforter but rather something much more magical. It would seem that L.L. Bean mistakenly shipped me a time machine.
When I use the "comforter" I find myself mystically transported into the future. I wrap myself in this "comforter" and the next thing I know Monday has escaped me and I find myself transported to Wednesday or Thursday.
I suppose the only downside, if there is one, is that I have not figured out how to reverse this process. The PrimaLoft Time Machine will hold me in advance me into the future, not bring me back to the past. I am not sure how many days I have lost, or what has happened during those days.
