Rated 5 out of 5áby ChristmasTreeGirl Love My Chopper Mittens
We own and operate a Christmas Tree Farm in Wisconsin. I need a warm mitten. Gloves don't keep my hands as warm as mittens. I want something that protects my hands from snow and rain and that the tree needles can't penetrate. No problem for a guy but I've not been able to find anything available that fits a female hand.
Your men's choppers, in a size small, fit perfectly. My hands are both warm and protected. I love them!
Stores in our area don't have the size small - I'm delighted I found yours...
Thanks so much.

The outer "deer skin" glove is excellent. The inner glove is extremely thin wool (extremely disappointed); of zero warmth value and they allow the outer deer skin to fall off. Thus I used a previously owned "thinsulate" knit glove, 50% thicker, to use with the outer deer skin top layer. Don't count on the inner removable glove to keep your hands warm.

My 17 year old son wanted a pair of Chopper Mitts. I thought he would just be using them on certain occasions when he needed extra protection. They are the everyday mitts at this point. Very Happy with the purchase.

These mittens appeared great and as someone who has horrible circulation I was excited to have hopefully found a decent pair of leather mittens to help keep my hands warm during the cold winter months. However I do have a sensitivity to wool. That being said, usually if it is blended with something I can manage well. That was unfortunately not the case with these mittens. If you are someone who is sensitive to wool, I do not recommend these mittens.

In Wisconsin, shoveling/blowing snow is cold work. LINED choppers a good replacement for my worn out unlined mitts. Usual quick, very good LLB service!

I bought these leather mittens for my husband for Valentine's Day. We had been looking for leather mittens for men, and found them to be a bit difficult to come by. We ordered the mitts from LLBean in the dark brown, and they are awesome. The leather is soft and supple, and the liner is warm. My husband loves the bit of gathering at the back of the mitt--this little bit of tension helps to keep the mitt in place. He has a pair of suede mitts that do not have this feature, and they tend to slip forward on his hands. The liner is not as warm as his other mitts, which have a very soft fleece lining, but they are warm enough for most Minnesota winter days. Overall, the LLBean leather mitts are a great buy--at a price much lower than the few other pairs of mitts we found for men. Would definately recommend these!

Living in Michigan I felt the need for some heavy duty mittens to keep my hands warm when I snow blow my driveway. Last weekend I used them when I was snow blowing. The temp was about 10 degrees & they worked fine. The tips of my fingers were a little cold, but I clenched my hands into a ball & they immediately warmed up. By the time I was done, my hands were sweating. I usually wear an XL in gloves & these XL mittens were a perfect fit.
