Rated 5 out of 5 by Rivergal47 Very Comfortable
I am pleased with the comfort of this top, both in the material and the type of turtleneck styling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by biobeanie nice material, pretty color
The construction of the shirt is really nice. The stand up collar is great and the color is rich. The material is soft and substantial. My only complaint is that it is so short. If you wear low pants you are going to show your assets if you move much at all. I am only going to be wearing this as a layer with something over it. I would not wear it alone since it is so short.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ShopperJan1 Sorry they haven't returned the stand up neck
These were always my favorite until they shortened the neck. Was so hoping this season they would go back to the original collar, but no luck, so I can't buy any. It's a good thing the old ones wear so well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by idecorate Stand up neck doesn't
Like another reviewer, I agree that the stand up mock neck no longer stands up as it once did. It droops down in the front. I have been ordering these for years. I compared to one that is very old that I wear just around the house, and it still stands up! What happened, LL Bean??? I ordered two, and don't feel like returning, but I am not happy with the 'droop' in the look. Will not be reordering more. (and no, my neck did not shrink)

Rated 4 out of 5 Nice but shrinks!
I am 5'3" and weigh about 125lbs. .
Pros: Love the wonderfully soft fabric. Fabric is kind of lightweight so those who are cold all the time (not me) may like a sweater or something to go over this. Neck is not constricting at all (not a fan of turtlenecks). Fabric even a little dressy.
Cons: some noticeable shrinkage, mostly in length.
I purchased a Regular Large and took measurements right out of the package and then again after a regular wash / tumble dry: Shoulder to hemline was 24 7/8" and shrank to 23", Girth (laying flat) 21.5 to 20.5", Sleeve (armpit to hem of sleeve) 18.5 down to 17.5 and shoulder seam (across top of shoulder) had no change at 4.5". Cannot say if a cold water wash and hang dry method would prevent shrinking; I just knew I did not want anything that needed special attention. I'm pleased with the fit, but I sized up when ordering in anticipation of it shrinking, knowing it would eventually just get tossed in a warm water wash and then the dryer. Overall nice shirt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Senora No longer a Stand-up Neck
I have purchased Bean pima tees for as long as they've carried them. I love the feel and the durability of the fabric. However, this item (the stand-up tee) is no longer what it was. Originally, the neck did, in fact, stand up. For years now, it has been a poor version of a mock tee. If you look at the tee on the model, you can see that the neckline doesn't come close to standing up on the neck, nor does it cover as much as a normal mock tee would. I would very much like to order more of these, but, unfortunately, can't unless Bean goes back to a true stand-up design, as previously. Please bring it back ... I miss it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by OKdreamin Awesome mock neck
I love these shirts, they wash so well keep their shape & don't shrink. Look good wash after wash. I just wish LL Bean would bring back the short-sleeve version of this. I have 2 that I've had for several years now can't buy more. Please LL Bean bring back the short-sleeve version!

Rated 5 out of 5 by EKHGDH Cannot understand complaints
Like many reviewers, I have been buying LLB pima shirts for years. I always wash them in cold water and dry them on low heat. I have never had the problems with severe shrinkage or fading that some reviewers complained about. Yes, the sleeves of my oldest shirts are a tad shorter than they were when brand new -- maybe 1/2 inch -- but the colors remain lovely and the fabric beautifully soft. I am 100% happy with LLB.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kimatlanta Exactly what I needed
I had surgery on my neck and have quite an incision/scar from my earlobe to the front of my neck. These shirts almost completely hide the scar and are loose so they have been comfortable while the incision is healing. I would love them even if I wasn't trying to hide the surgery spot though. They are really cute and comfortable. I've gotten 5 different colors and have been pleased with them all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by FirstQuality Very thin fabric
More and more I've noticed that the fabric for this shirt, while soft and silky, has become thinner and thinner - my spring purchases were just too thin, and I had to send them back. I like to wear these on their own, not as a layering piece underneath another more substantial shirt. This time, I just couldn't see that working, it really looked like something I'd wear under another layer, and it was unattractive on its own. It had no body, no drape. Just too thin. The pima turtlenecks of a couple of years ago were made of better quality fabric. I said I'd recommend these, and I would, but I'd make sure to note that the fabric makes the shirt less wearable on its own. I returned several of these and I'm hoping the autumn version will return to it's previous, excellent incarnation.
