Rated 5 out of 5 by CarolCola Softer than regular cotton, love the Pima Tee
Because we spend about 1/2 our time in Scotland, I tend to buy mock T shirts so I can layer a crew neck sweater over the shirt. I don't like anything much around my neck ( turtlenecks don't work for me) but the stand up color works well,. This is my first pima cotton Tee & I have noticed a difference, much softer & less pilling than regular cotton.

I love this top...wish that I had ordered in more than one color. Will definitely order again in the fall. Love the fit, they way it feels when wearing, the way it washes/dries. I'd recommend this to anyone. If you're looking for a Mock neck, this is NOT one, but I love it anyway!!

I agree with all of those that said this shirt is too short. Not the quality that it used to be, that's for sure. Very disappointed with LL Bean's decline in quality in the last few years.

This is a very tight mock turtleneck miss named. If you want a mock turtleneck, this pima fabric is wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeaAna A mock turtleneck for no-necks!
I have sadly not been blessed with an elegant long neck, so turtlenecks typically look horrible on me and rub my chin uncomfortably. This stand up collar, however, is a little shorter than a true turtleneck and works well, hitting my neck where a turtleneck should. It fits the torso as expected based on the many other LLB pima cotton tees I own.

Rated 2 out of 5 by casualanne Not a standup neck!
I agree with the others that the quality of the standup neck pima shirt just isn't what it used to be back about 4 yrs or so. I have a ton of old standup neck pima shirts going back a long time. They all look and fit excellently. But the standup neck pima shirt that you have now just isn't the same. The material is much thinner and the fit is much smaller. The sleeves are much shorter. The stand up neck is short like a mock neck in height. It doesn't "stand up" - it just kinda flops. I have measured my old standup neck pima shirts and those standup necks were about 4 inches high. They looked dressy - not sloppy. Please bring back the old style of standup neck pima shirts - and get some new colors.

It seems they are trying to save fabric, because these nice shirts have one fatal flaw--they are significantly too short. I won't be ordering any more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TallerShopper Serious decline in quality
I've worn these stand-up necks for years, but these are such poor quality that, even for a great sale price, they go back.
I love to wear these under a sweater or other top in the winter, but these are now so short they barely reach my waist, much less stay tucked into my jeans! Secondly, the fabric is so pathetically thin that, as many have pointed out, a bra shows right through, and NOT just on white!
Please, LLB, bring back the quality you were known for!

Rated 1 out of 5 by zxcdf Incredibly itchy
Don't be fooled by the "ultrasoft cotton" description. This shirt has synthetic stitching around the neck that is incredibly itchy. I couldn't possibly wear it and am returning it. I was very disappointed that LL Bean would sell such a product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SAD01 Comfy but too loose around the neck
It was real soft and comfy, the fit was nice aside the neck. It felt too loose, almost like I would freeze if wind hit me.
