I bought these skis along with boots, bindings, and poles as a set about 3 years ago, and I LOVE them! Before buying them, I had only cross-country skied a few times, and I was nervous about making the purchase, but I have never regretted it. They are perfect for the kind of skiing I was hoping to do. Most of my skiing is done in a park or field near my house, so I'm breaking my own path, and these skis give me plenty of stability and move through the snow well. Once or twice a year, we go to a ski touring center and ski on groomed paths, and these skis work well for that too. They are narrow enough to fit in the tracks, and work just as well as the narrower skis I used to rent. Since I have gotten them, I have cross-country skied frequently (usually several times a week when we have snow), and the skis don't seem to have any obvious wear or problems that I have noticed other than occasionally squeaky bindings. I've had a lot of fun with these skis and would definitely recommend them!

This is my very first pair of skis and I am extremely pleased with them. I have used them quite a few times already in groomed trails, on packed trails, and breaking my own trail. They are fairly easy to balance on since they are wide, and very easy to control since they are short. I am enjoying the minimum maintenance due to these being waxless. I would highly recommend them to anyone doing recreational skiing. I also really like the snowdrift pattern - very pretty and feminine.

I got these skis because I needed a good pair of no-wax skis, for hikes, ski trails, and just out-and-about. Had enjoyed the waxed kind for a long time, and those were longer and heavier. I love how these skis are so light and maneuverable through the woods, and they glide well yet grip to climb up a slope. Fun skis!! I only rated four stars and may change my mind after I get more accustomed to them: their lightness seems to feel a bit skittish on sloping turns. But, an adjustment in technic may be the answer--And I've only been out in cold temps (about 0 f.) Looking forward to many years of use--Also, I really appreciated how someone from the LL Bean ski shop took time to consult w/me about fit, binding choices, etc. Thank You again, staff of LLBean, for another great experience.

I started cross-country skiing again after 30+ years away from the sport. My old narrow, long skis made it difficult to have control so I bought these new skis from LL Bean and like them very much. They are wider and nearly 12" shorter, so much better suited to my weight. Now I am enjoying skiing again thanks to these new skis.

20 years ago I was quite content going down steep groomed mountain trails dodging boulders and trees with classic cross country skiis. Now I want to go through the woods and fields on ungroomed snow and these new skiis fit the bill perfectly. Great grip, enough glide to be fun. Love them.
