Rated 2 out of 5 by Torino1968 Quality and price
I like the comfort waist feature. Fabric weight is a bit heavy for being advertised as tropic weight. These shorts are way over priced. I will keep the one pair I ordered but will not order any additional pairs unless the price is cut in half.
Zipper is a light poor quality. Top front button is to small for this type of shorts. Hook and eye would be a better solution or a larger button.
LL Bean where did your quality go?

Rated 5 out of 5 by BobfromArizona Great shorts;
For an 80 year old, I love these shorts. I like to eat as well so the relaxed fit, comfort waist is perfect. Unlike other reviewers, I prefer button pockets on the cargo pockets rather than Velcro. To echo another reviewer, buttoned or not, what you put in the cargo pockets stay there. Give these shorts a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

seems like very heavy cloth for tropical. The cargo pockets are buttoned rather than velco, make opening much more difficult.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Luvtheocean Wide legs
Bought these shorts for my husband but am having to return them. The legs have wide openings and they were just too baggy on him.
Had purchased the Fossil Stone color and found them to have a green look to them rather than a khaki color. Back they go.

I bought another pair of these shorts, in a different color. They have become the shorts I like best (and as I live in Tucson, I own quite a few shorts!). I can now comment on longevity, and these shorts really hold up. The color doesn't fade, and they don't look their age, they look newish. Very impressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AncientGeek Light weight and nice looking
I have only tried these on for size so far, but they are nice looking and feel good. The fit is trim, but not too tight.
Though these are light weight, they are heavier than Supplex. So if you are looking for fast drying, ultra light weight shorts, you may want Supplex shorts. These are a bit dressier so they are very nice for specific occasions.
My only desired improvement would be Velcro fasteners on the cargo pockets. I find the button fasteners to be difficult to use. I suppose they are better for thwarting pick pockets, but they make it hard enough that I generally just leave them unbuttoned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NickNYC01 Solid work-a-day shorts for the price
I bought these shorts for vacations and weekend general use. Love the cargo pockets, though wish they had velcro closures as the two button system does not lend itself to quick access. The other comment would be that the cargo pocket pleats sometimes catch on things, which has lead to a few snags that are more embarrassing than they should be (dragging a chair that you normally would have just brushed against) and also lead to one tear in a pocket. One other piece of advice, the light colored shorts are little see through...so don't wear the dark underwear with them. All this noted, I've gone back to buy two more pair, so the comments above are really about potential improvements, not big complaints.

My husband loves these shorts, especially the comfort waist. A good length and fit. Just wish they came in more colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TheEqualizer Very comfortable, longer inseam covers problems
These shorts are great for amputees with below the knee amps. They are long enough to cover the top of the prosthetic. The long inseam means that none of the family assets are likely to be exposed when seated, which often happens with shorter shorts with boxer shorts underneath. The comfort waist allows a full meal and a beer or two without being too tight. I found them to be true to size. Great shorts!
