I like slip-on boots and shoes thus I was not sure about the Boa system before buying, but thinking it was close to a slip-on with support I decided to purchase and it turned out to be a wise purchase for me -- the Boa system is easy off and on with good support. The system tightens down easily to whatever degree of support needed and a simple pull loosens it up.
I like that's it's Gore-Tex.
As stated in the description the fabric and-leather upper is flexible and needed minimal break-in.
Happy wth the cushioning of the insole.

This is my third pair, 1st was too small size 9 Med my normal size.. 2nd pair too small size 9&1/2 med. 3rd pair ordered a 9.5 wide finally fits good with a med weight sock. Very happy now although I wanted them for the Hunting Season, which is over now..until next year.

I have found this boot to be outstanding. You definitely need to order this a half size larger than normal shoe size to be worn with a light to medium weight sock. Slightly on the narrow side, but my "D" width fits nicely in the medium width boot. I am very weight sensitive with all of my boots, and these are not the typical clunky hiking boots. Boa Closure system works perfectly, with fast easy adjustments to be made in a second.

I have a bad back, and tying shoes is a real chore for me. The Boa system of securing my new boots is a real boon for my situation. With these boots I can easily slip my feet into the cushy feeling interior, tighten them up and go. The soles form a rugged foundation for tramping around in field, fen and forest. The boots are light weight and even match other camo clothing I have.

Feels like the boot will need a little break-in, the pull up strap on the back of the boot is small. I can?t get my finger in it. Would suggest the strap be a little larger. Other than that the boot is comfortable and I like the BOA lace system.

Still in the break in process. They are comfortable, light and easy for my surgically repaired hands to operate.

My husband can't be without these boots! He is hugely fussy about his clothes and shoes, so when I saw these, they fit everything that he likes. He has nothing you have to tie, so these are perfect! He said, these boots were comfortable right out of the box. I am so happy that he is so happy with these!

Bought these for my son for our upcoming West Point Camporee with the Boy Scouts. He loved the design, color, pattern, comfort, etc. BUT, these will not stay 'tightened.' My son was constantly having to 'retighten' his boots; and then on our long hike out, his ankles were killing him! The boots were comfortable when he first put them on and during light use; but when he actually needed their support, they were painful. I don't know if they were digging in or just not providing enough support. I just know he was in agony!

Like the Boa system but overall not impressed with these boots. They are heavier than my Bean Boa system hunting boot and not as comfortable.

Recently returned two pair of boa hikers mostly due to my unique feet. Small, narrow, and high arches. 8 D boots will usually swallow up my feet with room to spare. These 8 D's were C width narrow and a bit short, no wiggle-room for the toes due to the pointed narrow toe box. Pretty odd that a narrow size was too narrow for me. Had the 8 EE size sent to me with some minimal improvement in fit. Perhaps the bigger issue concerns my high arches. Since the boa lacing system tightens so evenly, I found that when the boot felt snug and supportive around my ankle, it was crushing the top of my arch. Hunters beware, the boa lacing system is noisy while clicking down the cable.Otherwise, I found the boot appeared well-made and seemed very lightweight. Any boot or that fits well should feel like it isn't there at all. Will try the technical Kangaroo boots now that my size is in stock again.
