Comfortable shoe, wide but not unreasonably so. However, similar to other reviews, this shoe is IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ON!!! Do not take this shoe off on an airplane-there is no amount of twisting or bending that will allow you to work the heel of the shoe onto your foot. Once on, however, the shoe is very comfortable and sturdy. Many of the adjustments offered on the shoe (clips, slides, etc.) are not necessary. I bought this shoe for a Caribbean vacation, and it is good for walking anywhere: beach, floors, moderate hiking and light running.

My frustration with women's sandals in general is that they are not made as ruggedly as men's sandals and then my personal challenge is needing a narrower shoe. So, when I wanted a closed toe sandal, while very sturdy, Keens were uncomfortably wide for me. These Tevas fit just right. I am very satisfied with these as they are pretty sturdy, have moderate arch support for an athletic sandal and the mesh is quite comfortable and they hug my foot. I found them to be barely on the short side as my toe touches the end in my usual size thought I've found Teva's to run slightly short in general. And, to address the people who are frustrated with putting them on, I found that leaving the straps slightly loose they stretched enough to fairly easily pull them on and the mesh hugs enough that I can be secure with the loosened straps. Mine don't have an odor. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is how amazingly lightweight they are, much lighter than the Keens and lighter than my open-toed Tevas, and I really like that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by FBO1 Good support, terrible odor
I bought these after trying on multiple "water" type shoes. I run a seafood takeout during the summer, and am on my feet for long hours, as well as getting my feet wet on the lobster car. The support and toe coverage was just what I was looking for. The problem is, that after a couple of weeks, these shoes started to smell. I alternated wearing these and others, let them dry thoroughly between wearings, washed them, Febreezed them, basically tried everything to combat the smell, but nothing helped. I made it through the season with them, but threw them away at the end. I don't normally have a foot odor problem, so I don't think it was me- it was definitely the shoes!

Rated 3 out of 5 by goldemMom Great Shoe but time-consuming to get on and off
I returned these shoes because they were really diffficult to get on and off. They fit great and looked wonderful. I so wanted them to work out for me. The color was perfect.
Here's the problem. The adjustment to these shoes SHOULD have been a clip rather than a slide. You have to loosen the strap, put on the shoe, and tighten the strap. This was time consuming. Due to the great fit once the shoe was on the foot, it still wasn't that easy to get into the shoe. It would have been easy if the strap separated and then connected with either a clip or velcro.
I didn't want to have to adjust the fit every time that I wore them. I suggest that TEVA go to a clip (the plastic clips that have the two teeth that go into a clip) or a vecro type fastener like my Ecco Yucatans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oceanna Great looking, comfortable, supportive
While I agree with other reviewers that these shoes aren't "easy on," this seems to be characteristic of the Teva brand. Other Tevas I have purchased were equally challenging to pull on the first few times. That said, the inner mesh snugs the foot like a glove and the adjustable straps allow for a customized fit. The toe box is roomy and the shoes provide plenty of support to remain comfortable through hours of wear. If you want a shoe you can kick on and off, this one isn't for you. But if you want something you can live in from sunup to sundown, you won't be disappointed. I got these for travel to Italy, knowing I would be on my feet while sightseeing, and chose them over other shoes three times the price. Very happy with my choice.

I was shopping for closed-toed sandals. Decided on the Teva for the arch support, comfort, and fit. I wear them at camp while teaching sports since a closed-toed shoe is required. Then, wear them when casually dressed and I look dressed up with my beautiful sandals.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Aama comfortable and well made
.I didn't get enough support and wasn't interested in using an orthotic for a sandal....maybe should. Otherwise, this was a roomy, comfortable shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by squirrellee I hate these shoes!
These shoes are so hard to put on! There is a velcro heel strap but when you loosen it, there is no stretch in the heel of the shoe so the velcro is sort of pointless. There is a strap over the top that you have to loosen too and also no stretch under the strap. the first time I thought it was because I had socks on, but n,o even when barefoot, I was pulling and cursing these shoes, as I tried to get my foot in and my finger out. I wore them twice. There is a shoe drive at work, and these are going in the box. I ordered them to have as quick shoes, you know what I mean, between my flip flops and sneakers. I am very disappointed.

I like that they are cool and comfortable and cover my toes! They feel a bit strange at first b/c of how the straps pull on the shoe at a diagonal but I got used to it and really like them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by ArkansasBelle Difficult to put on
Bought these for a beach trip. . . Once on, they are comfortable and offer good footing but the design prevents easy entry: one cannot completely release the strap over the instep and a shoe horn is needed.
A sandal should not be that complicated.
