Rated 4 out of 5 by FabricFancier Nice fit and feel
I ordered this shirt hoping it was a slightly peachy pink, but it was not, and actually it is very pale, almost a pink-tinted white. It does look nice with the sweater I wanted it for, and the fit is very comfortable. I was a little concerned that at my age--57--the fit would be too tight in the mid section but it seems fine. I don't want a boxy shirt that creates bulk under a sweater, so I am not disappointed with this shirt. The size 8 fit actually was fine for me (5' 4", 143 lbs); I was thinking I might have to order a 10 since the Signature clothing line is cut for slender, youthful figures. I noticed that LLBean describes the fabric as soft, but really I think "smooth" is a better description. Poplin is a tightly woven fabric, so it does really get "soft" and mushy (thankfully). That is not to say that the shirt is super crisp either; it is just right The smoothness of the fabric feels great against the skin, I must say. If you hate ironing I would not recommend this shirt, which is 100% cotton. When I received it it was full of wrinkles. I don't mind ironing (in moderation!) and I like the fabric, so this shirt is definitely a keeper, I would like to see more interesting colors and prints added.

I was greatly disappointed in this Signature shirt. I ordered the white in a regular 6. I am 5'2", about 125 lbs and 32D. The shirt was too tight and too long in the length. I considered ordering a larger size in petite but the fabric and style wasn't working for me.
The fabric is too sheer even with a nude color bra. The darts in front of the blouse look like white vertical lines. This is not very flattering.

I bought this shirt in the delicate pale pink and it's perfect for wearing under the lightweight fair isle striped sweater new for fall. I may wear it alone and I don't think the pink is too sheer for it. Runs true too size.

Nice scarf material or soft enough to sleep in, however, too sheer for a blouse. It may be summer weight but offices are air conditioned so I prefer a blouse that is not see through.
I would like to see this material in something to sleep in.

Cool, soft white cotton against the skin...crisp, simple design...generous, yet fitted cut...this is a perfect shirt for spring wear. With a skirt or dress slacks or blue jeans it plays its part. Yes the fabric is woven fine but the see through effect is easily eliminated by wearing a champagne or nude colored bra...choose a pretty brassiere to match your skin tone and wear both it and shirt with a quiet smile.

I bought this in size P 12 as I do have a bust line.it fits perfectly(no room for shrinkage though)the fabric is so soft and feels great next to the skin. The buttons are small and suit the soft colour. Very well made and long sleeves that are a perfect length to the wrist. The style is your typical straight-cut shirt with a small neat collar..it is a bit fitted at the waist which I like..as it gives a feminine touch to the look.I am thinking of another colour to add to my Fall wardrobe...this is a Signature brand and looks expensive..a cool colour, smart style and will go with my L.L.Bean jackets and cardigans It is a dainty shirt really..I just love L.L.Bean..

This is a very nice, lightweight shirt that is as comfortable as it is flattering. I first ordered the Pale Dogwood color, which is a beautiful, subtle shade of pink/shell. I was so pleased with the fit and feel (very soft), that I also ordered teal and white. These shirts are perfect work basics that wear very well under blazers, cardigans, and shift dresses. However, because they are summer-weight, the light colors are somewhat sheer and need a cami - a fair trade-off for the comfort, in my opinion. As for sizing, I ordered the 0 regular, which is my usual size in Signature shirts, and the fit is perfect. Who doesn't love a great button-down?! More colors, please!
