Simple security in a well made belt. Sizing seems to be "right on" and the quality is typical L.L. Bean!!! Highly recommended!!!

I have been buying money belts from LL Bean for decades, for travel abroad. I like them very much, but the new ones are much lighter because the leather is significantly thinner. I have an older one next to my new one and it is easy to see. I am certain it will be sevriceable, but it is a cheaper but not less expensive belt.

This belt replaces an identical 25 year old LL Bean money belt in a larger size.
My husband lost weight and now has a 36" waist, so, as recommended, we ordered the 36. When the belt arrived, my husband needed the last hole, so we exchanged the belt for a 38. He uses the middle hole on the 38, but said that he could easily use the next hole in #if he wasn't opting for comfort#.

It's a classy looking belt; you would never know it is anything but a good belt, which is the idea. I plan to pick up a brown one (I got a black one) now that I know it's what I want. The sizing advice is to buy your pants size. I wear a 34 waist pants, but a 36 belt (from LL Bean), so I ordered the 36 inch size. I should have gone with the 34, though the 36 works, just not in the middle hole. So far there are no signs of stretching or of the finish wearing at the buckle (I have had that problem with belts from another company.) All in all, I am extremely pleased. Oh, it is a bit difficult to get the money into the zippered compartment. You need to fold the bill into thirds and insert it at the middle of the compartment, then slide it to the ends to make room for more. It will hold a good number of bills.

Great quality leather and a must when traveling. Beats the under the shirt waist band type money belt. Easily holds 7-8 folded bills.Good quality as usual from LLB.

This is our second purchase of a "money" belt - one several years ago for my husband and now one for our eldest son who requested it for Christmas. Both belts are superior quality and their functionality is excellent.

This is a very nice looking belt. The zippered compartment is very long and will hold enough for my needs. The belt looks normal and thus would not draw attention. You can use it with dress slacks as well as jeans.
If this type of belt could be made wider one would not have to fold bills so much. But other than this the belt works fine.

The belt is very nice looking and seems to be well made. I have worn it for two weeks so when it is taken on vacation it does not have the 'new money belt' look to it and the belt finish has held up very well with only slight elongation of the belt holed due to the buckle.
The first thing I noticed is it is sized larger than other same-sized belts I have. While my other 44 belts are at the center notch of five, this one is on the next to last smallest notch of five. Laid side by side to my other belts, the belt center notches do not line up making this belt more of a 45 instead of a 44. That's fine and not a big deal.
The next thing is that there is a leather tab that covers the zipper on the inside of the money belt. That makes threading the belt through the pant belt loops a bit of a pain since the leather tab keeps catching on the pants and once in position needs to be smoothed down in the proper direction. Taking the belt off is not a problem since the leather tab then lays flat. Last, after it has been worn a while, there is a bump on the outside of the belt which is visible from the outside and indicates there is a zipper on the back side. Who would notice it, nobody but a thief, the very person you are trying to hide your money from in the first place.
All in all it is a pretty good belt and the price was OK but it certainly has room for improvement.

The belt arrived on time and was exactly as the advertising promised. No complaints.
Unfortunately, they didn't leave me any money in the money-zip compartment. I was expecting a million dollars. Other than that, everything was fine.
