Rated 2 out of 5 by elahey Really difficult to put on (2.5 stars)
I really, really wanted to love these. I bought two for my two Pelican kayaks. I would have given this product five stars for quality, they're really well made of nice material ... if they had fit and been easy to put on. Before purchasing I contacted a customer service specialist who advised me of the correct size cover for my kayaks based on the measurements I gave him, and he cautioned me to carefully put the covers on. I wasn't sure what "carefully" meant, but I was willing to give it a go.
It took *three* of us to stretch each cockpit cover on. They kept popping off on all sides. We were being really careful and trying our hardest to keep the cord over the lip of the kayak cockpit to keep the cover in place, but the cover would still pull up and over the lip. When I tried pull the cord tight to fasten it under the lip for security, pulling the cord would just pop the cover off. When we finally *did* get the covers on, they just didn't look like they were going to stay on. We left them, and sure enough, one of them popped off completely and the other one had come off one end.
I really, really wish these had worked. They shouldn't take three people to get on, which is my main complaint. My cockpit was probably a hair too wide (but well within the correct length range). The whole rest of the weekend no one wanted to go kayaking because they didn't like the idea of having to try to put the kayak covers back on. There's no point in keeping the bugs out of the kayaks if no one wants to use them because the covers are too difficult. Returning them with regret.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MamaKovi Well Made
This is an excellent, well made product and had the ties been longer I would have given it 5 stars. We had to tie knots in the end so the ties didn't go into the casing while we stretched it over the opening and this made getting it on difficult but once we got it on it fit great and worked as intended.

For the money not a good fit. Neoprene showing sign of defective quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nanamarge13114 cover too tight
I bought a replacement bungee to make the cover fit my old towne Camden 12. I needed 19 x 51. Not worth the extra money but neoprene is good quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HikerBikerKayaker Good, but cable too short for 57" length
I have a Wilderness Systems Pungo 12' kayak and the opening on this kayak was too big for the cover's cable. The cover did stretch over the cockpit (57"x24"), but I had to replace the installed cable with a longer one. The cover is keeping rain, debris, and insects out. I have not tried to transport with the cover in place yet, but I suspect, due to the tight fit, that I will have to run another strap around the cockpit to make sure it won't pop off.
I would recommend this for anyone looking for a cockpit cover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by flips tight fit
While this cockpit cover is rated to fit cockpits the size of my boat (Hurricane Santee XL), it is an extremely tight fit and hard to put on the boat. The larger size up may have been a better choice though it likely would have been too "bunchy." Haven't tested how rain resistant the neoprene is, but I think it will work when transporting the boat during a surprise storm!
