Rated 2 out of 5 by Adie Nice looking but disappointing
I bought one and was disappointed in how thin the material was. It wasn't like my older ones I had purchased a few years back from your company.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nanaof04 Comfortable light weight jacket, change color name
I like several things about this jacket. Mostly, it is comfortable and warm enough for my needs at this time of year and in the house this winter. The Antique Plum is a pretty color, kind of a raspberry (pinkish purple), just no where close to what is pictured on the monitor. I was hoping for a darker bluish purple which is shown under the same color named fleece only with buttons instead of a zipper. I will keep it, since the color and comfort is fine with me. This color will look best with black or navy but also good with white or ivory. Please, Fix the color name and the picture to reflect a more accurate discrimination.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BerkeleyBuck Beautiful jacket with a fatal flaw
When I first got this jacket I loved it. The medium was a perfect fit, and the blue pine was my favorite color. Within half a dozens wearings, however, the zipper fell apart. This was with light wear and care. The zipper is far too flimsy for this jacket. I was heartbroken to have to send this jacket back and not exchange. The zipper is going to fail on any other jacket, too. Order this jacket if you don't ever zip it up, otherwise look elsewhere. I give it one star for color, and one for excellent fabric, but L.L. Bean must spend a few pennies more for an acceptable zipper. I can't be the only person sending back failed zippers.

Rated 3 out of 5 nice-looking but too loose
I fell in love with the color soon and the style. But it becomes loose quickly after two day's wearing, the sleeves, the torso part, too large for me even I bought the XS size. I don't know why, perhaps because of the material, or my tiny body. I'm a big fan of LLBEAN, and I own several dresses and cardigans from it. But this time I am a little disappointed. I think after first wash, the fleece will go loose for me even more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hello7 Like wearing it, some problems with fabric
It fits, looks, and performs fine. Except once it's washed, it's a lint gatherer, especially in black. It also shreds easily if it rubs against something. But I love how soft it is and it has such a perfect, light weight, that I love wearing it in spite of all that. It has the right amount of warmth for most seasons.
Complaints I disagree with:
The small size of the zipper and lack of zippers on the pockets are easily seen in the photos, so for those who complain about wanting the opposite, you should have looked more carefully. And I like not having zippers on the pockets and having a small, inconspicuous zipper on the body, it's an alternative to the other, very similar fleece jackets Bean offers, which have larger zippers with strings on the pockets and the body, for those who prefer such features on their clothing.
Furthermore, it's polyester fleece, inherently meant for informal wear, and for warmth and comfort. It's not a fine dress item and isn't priced like one. The bust is not too large, it goes in at the waist, and the sleeves are the right length. It also falls where it should on the hips. (I'm 5'-8", 145#, and in fair shape).
Even though it's called a "jacket", it's a sweater. It isn't meant to be outerwear in the winter of a cold climate.
This fleece is an improvement over the sherpa type fleece offered a few years ago, which was heavier, more expensive and had a course grain which isn't as versatile as this fleece is.
The over-riding problem with this fleece is, the lint gathering and, to a lesser degree, the pilling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by chaiandrusty Poor color rendition and naming
I have no argument with the quality of the product, but the color rendering and name are very bad. I ordered this fleece jacket in "Pale Coral." The picture (on both my desk top computer and Kindle) looked like a somewhat muted color, a light terra cotta. I was looking forward to it. But the real color is not close to the color depicted. It is a very bright pink with a little peach in it. It is almost electric in its brightness. There is nothing "pale" about this. So I think the naming of the color is also misleading. Sent it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WeLoveBean Perfect Midweight Layer
This is the third jacket of this style I have bought. It's just perfect for those extended times of the year when it's chilly but not cold, and it makes a great layer under a jacket, raincoat, or one of those wind-block fleeces that Bean sells. I also wore one of these all winter under that other fleece indoors because we keep the heat fairly low and just bundle up.

I have purchased five in the past and they just get better and better. Fabric, colors, and size are perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NWestGal Bring back pretty pinks and other colors
I have two of these in 2X in coral and aqua and love them. I wear them around the house when cool as well as outside. Even bought one as a gift. They fit very well, and are long enough to hang below all my tops for a slightly more polished look. I prefer the full zip as easy to remove if I go indoors. But this year I looked for a raspberry or a cinnamon and most of what is offered is blue/black/grey. Here in the grey North West, I like to wear something brighter! But a forest green would also be good for autumn.

Rated 3 out of 5 by dogged1 Not As Expected
I bought this to wear as a layer because I am frequently outdoors. The red azelea color was totally beautiful, but the zipper stuck. The material was much lighter weight than I thought, so not as warm as I expected. This garment fit very close to the body, although I am slender but broad-shouldered. I think if I were to wash it even in cold water, it might be too tight. Earlier, I ordered two of the LL Bean Polartec trail model fleece jackets in this size and they fit great, even after laundering. Those are toasty, so customers might want to consider them instead.
