The material is a mess. They pilled and attract any dust. I hope to return them as I have hardly worn them yet they look ancient.

Love these pants, very comfortable and were perfect for recent ski trip out west. Wore them underneath an outer layer on the slopes and wore them by themselves in the lodge as well as in the ski village when out and about with my toddler.

Pants are well made and fit true to size. Broke them in on a snow-shoeing adventure; they kept me comfortably warm without adding bulk that hindered by mobility.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Liz537 Not for me
I am 5'4" and weigh 175 so I am obviously curvy. I ordered these in both L and XL and was sorry that neither size fit. They are not a loose cut as I wanted, but more tight fitting, like yoga pants. Not a good look for me. I must say they were made of quality material and would be a good purchase for someone more fit. I wanted them to work, but alas, not for me.

i would give these pants a 5 except these are the second pair I have purchased and both pair pill.
I would not expect that from pants that average in price $100.00.
I have followed the washing instructions so I am not sure why they do it.

I have been ordering these pants for years. Made by Sporthill, they are the perfect cross country ski, snowshoe, winter hike pants. They are comfortable, moderately warm fit well. They can double easily as around-the-town pants. The fabric has changed a bit over the years, but still works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Frequenter Great fit and comfort
I really like these pants -- they fit very well on my wide hips and thighs and are nice and warm and super comfortable without being baggy sweats. They are fairly flattering as well. My only complaint is the fabric was getting snags within a half-hour of putting them on. I can see that in no time, there will be scrabby nubs to shave off and soon they will be my favorite super comfy paint pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DiLLB Best pants ever!
I am 5'9" tall and usually need a Long - not the case with these pants - the regular inseam for L and XL is 33in. I do normally take a L and it is usually a little loose. These pants are skin tight at L and just a little loose at XL. I bought the XL - could easily fit long johns underneath. They are seriously nice fabric - great winter pants unless you will be inside in heat. Nice enough looking to wear anywhere. Bought 2 pairs! Recommended them to my sister - she normally takes a M but decided she liked the L better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by VLMurtha Great pants but prepair for hairy legs
I own four dogs and regularly hike or snow shoe with them in the woods. I love the fit of these pants, wash ability, length, warmth and how they move. My biggest complaint? They seem to be magnets for hair and fuzz. It doesn't matter what I do, I end up walking around with hairy legs and I have to make sure I'm only going hiking when I wear them. A few times I've forgotten and I look down at myself, only to be embarrassed. As long as you are aware of this one bad feature, I would recommend the pants for exercising in cold weather.
