This is a high quality rod case. I use it when mountain biking along salmon rivers. I lash it to the bike's cross bar. It is handy to keep the rod rigged and ready to go as I hop from pool to pool. The only issue I've had is that the fly that is hooked to the hook keeper on the rod will get hooked into the nylon divider fabric in the case, and then it's very difficult to get it out.

Should have gotten this when they first came out . I fish remote ponds all the time & carrying 2 rods loaded is a no brainer. Strap it across my back & I still have my 2 hands . Set one up when I get there, shove off in my canoe & I'm fishin' . Changing rod set up couldn't be easier. Not to mention the other is out of the way & protected . A bit pricey but then again, so are my flyrods

This product worked perfectly for a pair of 9 1/2 foot 5 and 6 wt. fly rods. One a 2 pc. And the other a 4 pc. But left in a 2 pc. Configuration. The separated compartments for butt section and tip section for each rod is great. Also the zipper lock feature is a good touch. Cushioning between each rod is good to keep the reels separated and protected. Overall an excellent made product.

I have not put the Kennebec Rod Case to any trips as yet but my initial inspection of the case shows it is well made and sturdy. I appreciate that it comes with a locking mechanism plus a lock to go with it. I have no doubt it will serve well when I actually take it with me on a fishing trip. Having the reels attached to the rods makes it ideal for using right away when I reach my destination. No more taking the rods out of one case and the reel from another, putting them together and then fishing. No more leaving one part of it home as happened when I left my reels home and was 2 hours away. It is conveniently all there and ready to go.
