Rated 5 out of 5 by Greybeard2016 good belt
I've worn out 4 $15 leather belts in the last two years, So far this one seems that it's going to last. The $15 belts were all two layers of soft thin leather sown over a cardboard center. The eye!ets usually stretch out in a couple of weeks , the the stitching separates and the belt cracks .
So far this one seems to be built to last and it looks good.
As time goes on , I will try to edit this review with new information.

As with all of LL Bean's products, you cannot go wrong with this one.
This belt is very well constructed and should last a lifetime!
I have a couple of their bridle leather belts which I have had for well over twenty years and they are still going strong.
I have NEVER purchased anything from Bean that I was not completely satisfied with...to my best recollection.
My clothing is 99.9% LL Bean! If you saw my purchase history, you would know.

It's leather, it fits me, and I hope it holds up as well as the last one. If not, the LL Bean return policy is the best on the planet.

This is the best belt I have ever owned. I had purchased one six months ago. When I visited the store in Freeport a few weeks ago, I had to get me another one. Between the two of them they are the only belts I need for casual wear.

We've all had department store belts branded by Dickies, or Wrangler, or Levi that have been long term disappointments. This belt is strong, supple and comfortable along my pot-bellied waistline. It's the quality I've come to expect from L.L. Bean.
I'm sure it won't let me down ... (no pun intended!)

I bought the belt and liked it very much. L.L.Bean only offers it in brown and I wanted a black one too, so I bought a second one and dyed it black. Several people have complimented me on it and asked where they could get one. I tell them I "made" it myself.

by Kentdog Nice belt, but......
The belt is impressively made. And most people will be very happy for a very long time owning this belt. However, if you hang things on your belt, you may be disappointed. There is heavy circumferential stitching to improve strength and minimize stretching. I wear a tape measure and it's on and off of my belt 100 times a day. Within 3 days I managed to cut through all three bands of stitching. So I'd caution anyone who wears a belt hung stuff that could abrade this stitching. I'm notoriously hard on belts but was very hopeful that a belt called Iron Works would hold up to an iron worker.
