Rated 5 out of 5áby MountainJack51 Great bag
Was looking for a bag that I could use as an under the seat carry on for a recent trip. This bag met my needs perfectly. I was able to carry a DSLR camera, two extra lenses, a 7 inch tablet, cell phone, and numerous small loose items. It has several side pockets in addition to the roomy main compartment. Has a lined zippered pocket on top that made it convenient to get to boarding passes, phone, etc., that could also easily carry a small water bottle. Bag still went under the seat with room for both feet.

I was looking for a bag to carry my breast pump to and from work as I will be returning soon. This bag has plenty of pockets to hold cords and small pieces, as well as extra bags. But the perfect element is the insulated pocket on top of the bag. This will allow me to transport everything chilled back from work. I had a very unique need, and this bag filled it! The zippers are great quality, it is not too heavy to begin with, it opens wide so you can see inside, and the blue color is very pretty!

Rated 5 out of 5áby MaukaJo Perfect for Under Airplane Seats
I'd like to think that I'm efficient enough to pack in this for a weekend, but I'm not! It's perfect however for what I got it for which is counting as my "personal item" during air travel. Living in Hawaii, all travel starts with a 5+ hour plane ride and this is perfect for the things I like to have at hand during a flight. It fits my digital SLR camera, iPad mini, all those chargers, something to read, a small blanket, sunglasses, my small purse, snacks and any other odds and ends handy to have around. The inside pockets were great for headsets, travel papers and my 12 oz Hydro Flask. The top pocket went for my phone, boarding passes and any travel size liquids that have to come out at security checkpoints. An outside pocket has a place to zip your car keys so you can find them at the end of a trip and some pen pockets. It easily fits under the seat with room for a foot when you want to stretch and room for a jacket on top. My wish list for design improvement would be a water bottle pocket outside in place of one of the end pockets and a small D ring near the base of each strap to secure my jacket on top with a bit of elastic cord that I carry. Also it makes a great overnight bag when we took a couple of mini trips during our last trip.

Rated 5 out of 5áby LLBaholic Great all around carry-on
This is a great carry-on. Flew on JetBlue and it fit under the seat with room to spare.
Do not let the small size fool you. In the main compartment, I was able to pack:
1 pair of khakis
2 short sleeve t-shirts
2 short sleeve polo shirts
1 paid of loafers
1 long sleeve button down shirt
1 light-weight jacket
1 long sleeve meduim-weight sweater
Underwear and socks
LLBean's pencil case for my tablet and phone cables
Small camera case - minus the camera (I placed the camera in one of the side pockets)
The top compartment was perfect for holding LLBean's sea to summit travel kit two small cosmetic cases.
The front pocket is perfect for pens/pencils, copy of your boarding passes, passport, etc., while the back pocket held my tablet.
Finally, as.stated above, I packed my small camera in one of the side pockets.
Some reviewers complained that the bag does not have a pocket slot so you can attach it to a rolling bag handle, but I found that the handles worked just as good. Plus I'd rather like having that back pocket for my tablet.
Another reviewer had issues with the material over the zippers, but not me. It also did it bother me that there are no locks on the zippers. This is a carry-on after all.
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Not only did it perform well as a carry-on, but it is also great for a short weekend getaway. I would definitely get another one!

One complaint I can understand, concerns the two large pockets on the outside of the bag. It's not as smooth as the other zippers because it has to move around the tight rounded corners of the pocket as you pull it around. Don't look at it as one single motion. That's where it might get frustrating. Open these pockets in three motions: Up, Across, Down. This way, the corners are no longer an issue, and it opens like butter.
That's a suggestion you'll thank me for.
For me, throwing a strap over your shoulder is so much more convenient than a backpack. The padded area of the strap is contoured, and its underside is a textured, rubber-like, material that holds it in place. You can adjust the length of the strap. The strap padding is in a fixed position.
I travel small, and light. The more I travel, the more thought I give to what I bring. I needed something more than the 22 liters of my last pack, but no bigger than 30. I believe this bag is a compact 27 liters? Perfect!
They put a pocket in every surface they could. The inside has 4 open pockets to make things more accessible. They even added a leak-proof compartment on top of the bag, deep, lined in plastic, for snacks! With a single zipper I can get to my sandwiches, burritos, whatever, right on the top of my bag! Clothes are safe, and I don't have to carry a separate paper bag for food. Well thought out.
The bag is clearly well made.
The zipper to the main compartment, which zips around the top, has two large zippers pulls, and large teeth. Completely unobstructed. Works perfectly.
I read a complaint about not being able to lock this or that. The 3 largest, outside pockets, have dual zipper pulls. Lock the zipper pulls together. The single zipper pulls, on the pockets at the short ends, under where the straps connect to the bag, can be locked to the zipper pulls of the larger side pockets.
The only pocket I can't lock down is the one my sandwich is in. Not an issue.
I don't know what unsung team, gathered around, for as long as it took, to design this bag, just for me, but sincerely, well done, well thought out...

Not sure what magic was used to design this, but it holds more than my larger bags and is infinitely easier to get into. I can find items without unpacking everything.

This bag is everything I had hoped for and more. This was so true that I gave it as a gift to a friend. There is enough room for an overnight or more. Just when you think you have found all the space something else emerges. Great areas for phone tablet and other electronics. There is even a space for a sandwich/ salad to take on the road with you. Lightweight to start which is nice.

Purchased this for my husband. He frequently has to travel for just one night and felt his duffle was just too big. He loves this bag. On planes, it fits under the seat, so he doesn't have to "fight" for that overhead space. It is the perfect size.

Rated 1 out of 5áby CaveatTalonWager Rethinking my last review after more use
This is a good example of why a product should be used more than once before a review is written about it. I just reviewed this bag the other day after a day trip with it. Once the bag was used for an over-nighter, I have completely changed my opinion about it.
This bag has so many design flaws that I am sending it back.
As a person that does international travel I need a bag that A: holds a lot, B: doesn't take up much space on an airplane, C: is easy to get in and out of and, D: LOCKS,
This bag failed miserably in the C, and D category. Here's why:
The outer compartments both on the front and back, and the sides are not well thought out. The front and back pockets are terribly hard to open and close, with the zippers getting snagged-up in the corners. A rather large and totally unnecessary flap of fabric over-hangs these zippers making them difficult and cumbersome to access. I had a wrestling match with the bag every time I wanted to get something in or out of these front and back pockets.
The end pockets have one gusseted side each. If you put something in them that is not small and flat, the zippers open by themselves due to this odd gusseted feature. Do you want your stuff falling out of your bag when you travel? And All four outside pockets are not sized well...they are too small, not making good use of the space provided by the size of the bag.
There is another annoying feature of this bag. The buckles for the shoulder strap are placed directly above the two end pockets on each side. I found myself constantly shoving them out of the way any time I wanted to access and use those pockets (assuming that my stuff hadn't already fallen out for the reasons mentioned above).
I have no idea why anyone would make a bag that is clearly intended for airline travel and not put locking zippers on it. This to me is a major oversight.
If you want an over-sized lunch bag and don't need extra outside pockets that are useful, than this may be the bag for you. But if you do travel and need a bag that is easy to get in and out of and holds your items securely, then your search continues.
