I read the reviews and was worried but upon receiving this ski package for my 9 year old boy he loves them. Yes it was slightly difficult the fist day with the new bindings and trying to ski for the first time. After this learing curve they are the best ever! He gets into them faster than I can my old bindings and he zips on off into the woods. I would recommend these hands down!

While I can understand the other reviewer's difficulty getting her squirmy kid's ski boots latched into the bindings I still think these are great bindings for kids. My 4 and 7 year old daughters both used these bindings last year. I chose them not because of the ease to get into them (I think its tough for a kid to be balanced and on target regardless of the binding) but because they can get themselves OUT easily. Even with mittens on a kid can just pull up the red release lever and escape the bindings. Very helpful when they've fallen and can't manage to get themselves upright again! They don't feel helpless and frustrated AND I don't have to try to spear an adult style push button release with my pole on a ski that has gone sideways and is hiding under the snow. My almost 8 year old is very tall so I'm hoping she'll get a year or two more use out of this binding system before she maxes out of the boots and ski sizes.

These are a nightmare! My adult binding are much easier than these! You have to manually hold the child's boot exactly right and still (fun with a squirrely kid) and snap it in just right. FRUSTRATING!! Would return if it didnt mean returning skis and missing out on the last good skis of the season.
