Rated 4 out of 5 by Heaf A useful, little knife
I'm a big fan of this little knife. After losing my last one, I had to replace it as fast as I could. I have a number of other folders, but none are appropriate for an office setting. This little guy fits unobtrusively in my front pocket and is used for opening boxes, cutting zip ties... you name it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Colorado57 Locking mechanism failed after little use
After fewer than a dozen uses, the locking bar that holds the knife blade open failed to lock into place. The knife is an attractive size and arrived sharp, but this defect in design or manufacture rendered my knife essentially useless. On the positive side, returning an item to LL Bean via UPS, as I am doing with this Gerber knife, is very easy to do.

I PREFER A STRAIGHT EDGE BLADE BECAUSE I AM LEFT HANDED. THIS KNIFE REPLACED A BULKY, SMALL ONE I CARRY IN THE WATCH POCKET OF MY JEANS. OPENED THE FIRST BAG OF DOG FOOD TODAY, MUCH EASIER THAN OLD KNIFE WITH SERRATED BLADE. HOPE BEAN HAS IT'S "BIG BROTHER" THE FULL SIZE ON SALE SOON. I WISH IT HAD A LOOP ON IT, BUT I USED LEATHER LACING TO MAKE A PULL CORD.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BriOD Small and Lightweight Pocket Knife
My regular pocket knife has a very small main blade so I was looking for a good small lock blade to carry with it. This one from Gerber works very well especially for the price. Compact for a lock blade and light weight it has a 21/4" blade. Comfortable in hand and easy to carry with or without the clip. Im thinking about getting another, it'll be a great stocking stuffer this Christmas.

This is a great pocketknife, especially for the price! Once I removed the clip on the back, it lays nice and flat in my front pocket. Sharp, sturdy & no frills. Exactly what I want in a pocketknife.

This is a great value for the money. Very sharp and exceptionally light weight. The clip is tight and doesn't slip of clothing when attached.
Great first knife for my Boy Scout son.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MJPat After 30 years, same great quality- perfect size
I got a medium and a small adventure duffle for my birthday. I asked for it because we needed to replace a medium canvas LLbean duffle that we got thirty two yeasr ago- the handle finally gave out - I was sad because it was the perfect size for short trips. I am delighted to report that the new medium duffle while slightly differnt shape and measurements still holds just as much and has advanage of being lighter to carry- For example I am visiting my grandchildren in Montreal for four days, there was room for four days of clothing, toiletries, books AND my laptop computer. I am looking forward to using the small one for overnights to see my mom in Massachusetts- another satified customer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LLBeanFan7 solid little tool
I found opening and closing it with my smaller, weaker hands too difficult. I like the size and feel but preferred the slightly larger knife. My husband found it sufficient so he's keeping it. Great looking knife, sturdy and easy to keep clean.

The Gerber is a really nice little knife. The value is hard to compete with and I mostly use it for daily work and chores. Sharp edge easy to re-sharpen and handles nice. Good Value

This is a very light knife I got over Christmas and I love it. I collect a lot of knives but really like this one. It has a frame lock that is new to me, i was concerned at first that it wouldn't hold as well but it really does hold up to some heavy cutting. I dropped mine in the snow while shoveling and didn't realize until later that night, because it's so light I didn't notice a difference, I found it many hours later and sprayed it with wd-40 and it doesn't have one speck of rust on it and it open's smoothly. The skeleton frame is a great feature and actually not only makes it lighter and easier to clean/oil it also make for a nice grip no matter how wet or greasy. Were it lacks: it could have a thumb nub for easier opening. I can still open with one hand using my thumb nail but it's not easy. I suppose I could always drill a hole and take a thumb stud off a 1$ knife then tap the hole and screw it in, but i'll decide that a bit later. In the meantime, I think i'll be buying the serrated knife also. BTW, i got a lansky sharpener ready for it's arrival but it was already sharper than I could have made it, literally razor sharp out of package. BUY THIS KNIFE for everyday carry.
