Rated 4 out of 5 by InternetShoppingisGreat No More Slipping
I recently had a partial knee replacement and I am petrified of slipping/falling on the ice. I used these Stabilicer Runs today and I felt confident walking and did not slip once. We just had a major blizzard here in NJ and these really helped when I walked my dog. I have ceramic tiles throughout my first floor and have put these on an older pair of sneakers that I don't use much anymore and will only use for these Stabilicers now. I have one issue that I am not happy with: I have to put my Stabilicier "sneakers" on in the cold garage. Other than that they are great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LongIslandNYLovesLLBean Adults' Stabilicers, Sport Sole
I purchased these Adults' Stabilicers after speaking with an L.L. Bean Product Specialist, who advised us about the most suitable pair of stabilicers for my wife's needs. Unlike some of the other models available, the Sport Sole version has replaceable metal rivets on the sole, that grips the ground against ice. If the rivets wear out, you can easily unscrew and replace them. Just be sure not to wear them indoors on floors covered by tile, carpet or rugs, since the rivets are sharp metal. Also, some degree of patience will be required when you initially pull the stabilicers over the toe section and bottoms of boots or snow sneakers. They are intended to fit snugly over footwear, to prevent slippage, so it will take bit of maneuvering to properly apply them. My wife found the Sport Sole Adults' Stabilicers to be effective in protecting her from slipping on icy road surfaces and is delighted with the performance of this product. Highly recommended.

I gave them 3 stars because I didn't even get to use them. They were too small and barely fit on my sneakers never mind my boots, If they didn't have pointed toes they might of fit just fine, left a huge gap of space at top and didn't line up with the heal of the sneaker sent them back

Rated 2 out of 5 by NoLibsResident appears solidly made but VERY incorrect sizing
I am not sure how LL Bean and the company/factory that makes these determined their sizes, but they are VERY off.
Based on the 'recommended" sizes, I got one pair for everyone in my family. They were all WAY way wwwaayyy too small.
Everyone had to go up a size (e.g. xs -> s, m -> large). this is not true for the stablicers light.
Now I know they call it a "sport", perhaps meaning only meant to running/tennis/sports shoes, but the photos are of a boot. an thick boot at that.
Just not realistic at the given sizes. I had hoped they would be easier to put on for my parents whose strength is not at the same level as a 30 year old. they are easier, but still difficult.
Of course, when I got them, here in the mid-atlantic, the weather is warm, raining, or cold but bone dry. I can't state how well they will last yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Snowfever Way too small for winter/hiking boots
Although the grip is fine, the fit is not. Couldn't fix them on winter or hiking boots, too narrow, too small and squeezes your fingers when trying to put on.

I will never venture out on ice or snow again without em. Works like a charm and you get full traction on pure ice!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bostonmailman rubber ripped after a few uses
Using them in the snow and ice, well straight ice forget it. you will slip. After a few uses the rubber broken up near the front. I have no idea why, but I will be returning them. Poorly made after such a short time using them. and if you walk on road surfaces the screws on the bottom wear out extremely fast. Being a mailman I walk from bare road to ice and snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HorseGirl1 Awesome product!
I work on a horse farm in upstate NY. These work great in the slippery winter conditions. I originally had Yak-trax which constantly fell off....so annoying...I had to then go look for them! And, they broke after one week of use. Definitley not tough enough for 12 hour work days in the snow. The Stabilicers are totally different! Haven't fallen off once and are so much more durable. They are great! Received the wrong size as a gift, LLBean was more than awesome during the exchange period and sent me a return label so I could return and replace for free!! Awesome experience all the way around! Thank you LLBean!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bostonmailman Good and bad
I am a mailcarrier in the Boston area. I wear these over my muck boots I got at llbean. you need to order a larger size than your boots in order for them to fit. They seem custom made for the Maine Boots but I use them on my Arctic Muck boots. The work great when the front does not come off or you are walking on ice or a slick floor surface. If you are on bare ice, forget it, nothing will keep you from slipping.
As for the coming off, the single piece of velcro they give you to hold each ice cleat to your boots will hold the heel potion fine, but if you trample through heavy or deep snow as I do, the front is bound to come off and flop around. So to fix this, I got some more velcro and made a front strap for each cleat. they stay on great now and I am glad I got them. but as I said you will need to do this custom adjustment if you have non-llbean-maine boots.
Perfect for all mailmen.
