Rated 4 out of 5áby T1R9Guy Two years in the blind and I still like them
I purchased these a few years ago. It's true, they are a bit tight in the inseam, but for me it hasn't been a big deal. Every once in a while, when getting in a high truck, or climbing onto the boat when it's still on the trailer, usually I notice it again. But, the rest of the time I'm fine (by the way, I'm 5' 9", 195 lbs). Had they been an inch longer in the inseam they'd be perfect at all times.
I have worn these nearly every weekend in season for the past two years. I use them for sea duck hunting, marsh hunting, as well as in wooded ponds and streams for puddle ducks. Have spent plenty of time in primitive blinds wearing them too.
The boots seem fine to me. I hunt in pretty cold weather, so I wanted room in the boot for rag wool socks with sock liners and toe warmers (I'm 55 so the foot circulation isn't what it used to be). The boots are comfortable with all this in there. Not tight, not too loose. I am normally a size 9 shoe but I got size 10 to be safe. Worked out great. And, my feet have never been cold. That's saying something given I sometimes have to break up the ice at the ramp to launch the boat and get out into the bay.
The waterproof pockets are nice. Great way to keep the cell phone from getting ruined. And I like the hand warmer holders in these pockets too.
If I could add two things (other than an inch to the inseam) it would be these - a pad to the back for pinning my license, and a D-ring or two at the waist. These additions would be nice for warmer weather hunting when not wearing a coat.
My sense is these will fit some well and others not so well. Probably depends on your body build. But, I'd recommend getting them, and with Bean's return policy, send them back if they don't fit you well.

I am half way through Duck season with these waders. They are great! I did not have the fit issues that most people did but the boots do run a little bit large (nothing a felt insole cant fix). They are nice for early in the season when things are warmer. The only issue that I have is the seam where the boot meets the wader is a little rough. I glued in a neopreen gator and the problem is fixed.

These waders did not fit well at all. The size 12 boots were a tad snug but everything else about the waders were big and baggy. The inseam was very short which was no good. Wish they offered a Tall size. I feel these waders are also dramatically overpriced for what you get. In the proccess of returning them now.

Rated 5 out of 5áby T4hunter great fit
I just received these Helix waders. LL Bean's service was prompt and excellent as usual. I haven't worn them in the field yet, but the fit and finish are just what I wanted. I'm 5' 3' and 140# and the size 8 fit great. I'm especially pleased with the inseam fit. All prior waders inseam and straps were much too long. I can't wait to try them in the flooded timber in Arkansas next month.

Rated 3 out of 5áby IdahoMike Great Product But To Short Of Inseam
Very well made but for anyone 6' tall or taller they will be to short in the inseam. I'm 6' tall and I could not walk in these without strecthing out the legs. I wore these chest waders on 3 hunts and kneeling in them was almost impossiable & I'm sure there is no way I could get in & out of my boat while wearing them. I hated to do it because the waders appear to be very well made but I had no choice but to return them. If LL Bean would make these chest waders in a tall version I would definetly buy another pair. I think anyone from 5'-8" up to 5'-10" would be fine ordering these waders.

Was looking for a good pair of dry waders for duck hunting. Looked at all the big names, read many reviews. Settled on the Helix, due to Bean's return policy.
Waders have been in the field now 5 times since last year. I like them so much I bought a pair for my son.
I am 5'8" with a size 10 shoe. I went with the size 12 wader boot. I can walk in them fine and even add a heavy sock. If your going to hunting in 10 degree weather I'd buy the 13's, just to have that much more room to layer your socks.
No leaks, seem to well made, I really like the dry wader. The fit for me was real good. Plenty of room to get up and down.
If you've got the dough. These are worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5áby Go2Guy Disappointing Especially for the Price
Returning due to poor design and quality control problems. I immediately found upon trying on first time that this wader has too short of inseam making any kneeling or crouching very difficult (I am average sized and by no means unusually tall) - a real problem for water fowling! Also, one of the shoulder straps was sewn in upside-down and required the strap to be twisted a half turn to properly meet the buckle - definitely not acceptable in the field.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Fowler Could be the best....But way too short
After reading the few reviews, and extensive research (including multiple calls to LL Bean regarding the sizing), I decided to make the investment based on the features & quality despite the majority of the reviews stating that the inseam was far too short. Upon receipt, my fears were confirmed, the inseam was so short that i could not walk forward without stretching the legs completely tight. The inseam was not even close to the numbers which LL Bean published. I wanted to love these waders as they were exactly what I was looking for, and the features and quality were second to none. However, with the inseam issue, there was no way that I would actually be able to hunt using the waders. I had no choice but to return them. LL Bean, I hope you read all of these reviews and take this issue under consideration. PLEASE, PLEASE make a Tall version of this wader, and you will have an unbeatable product.

Rated 4 out of 5áby MJLMAN LL Bean Helix Waders
I was concerned about sizing after reading the 2 previous reviews on the website, and finding very sparse reviews for the product on the web, but the fit is as expected. I am 6'1" 210, ordered a large size 10 and the fit is comfortable. Boot fit is great, inseam is a little small, and a little tight when in a seated or kneeling position, but chest size and room in the legs is ample. I would recommend that LL Bean add an additional couple of inches to the shoulder straps, as mine are maxed out and lacking some room when wearing a shirt and pullover under the waders, which decreases mobility. Overall a great product that comes with a guarantee...now let?s see if they will warranty any repairs as I hunt pretty tough conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Rake Thanks to the LL product expert suggestion !
My 2 boys & I used these in St Lawrence Val. for ducks - on a beaver dam & in chest high swamp in 30 degree cold.
Kept us dry, easy to walk, put on/take off.
Could have been a little warmer - layering solved issue.
