I purchased these boots about 5 years ago, and while they are sturdy, warm and comfortable, the black dye comes off on my socks. I was only able to wear them a few times because of this problem (they look new). I just purchased another pair in Brown and LL Bean has agreed to take back the original black pair (bless them!) Don't hesitate to buy them in a color other than black...they're much better than UGGS!

The boot has a built-in arch support. The description did not indicate this feature and I?ve never had any footwear that came with an arch support. I have flat feet (no arch to support) so the boots are uncomfortable and would become painful after a while.

The boots are a beautiful cranberry color and fit just like a "glove". I already have many colors in uggs and these boots are equivalent to them!

Nice boots as expected from Bean. Unfortunately, fit/cut seemed to be a full size too small. Didn't want to wait to see if they stretched out with wear so returned them while still in new condition in hope someone with a half size foot might be able to wear them.
Recommend, but with condition that size larger than normal be ordered.

I had my first pair for 7 years until the footbed inside wore out. I had tried many other brands first and none lasted more than a year. I refuse to pay for Uggs. And I love all of LL Bean's products. So I got these. Now it was time to get a fresh pair. Love them for inside and outside the house.

Bought these to keep warm around the house but they fit, and look, so good I took the advice of a friend - they have become my fall jean footwear. I sprayed them with water-repellent, slipped in my orthotics, and now get to wear slippers all day where-ever I go.
My feet are a wide 71/2 so bought size 7, they're a snug fit now and will stretch just enough to wrap-mold to my feet with the orthotics - I'm happy.

I owned a pair of these I purchased over 2 years ago. I loved them and wore them all the time...well time for new ones.
When I recd them I found the fit appeared to be awkward in the foot part of the boot. The fur was different.
They only offered the light color so I decided to try it since I LOVED my last pair and am a faithful client.
All of this added up to a return- sadly because I love this American company- I bought UGGS , and feel like a traitor...

This is my second pair. I am so glad you came out with the wine color. These boots will coordinate with many things in my wardrobe. I cannot wear them on a cold day.

I love these boots. Had them several years ago and am excited to have this new pair (in Black Cherry!). I ordered my reg shoe size 9, although I usually order a 10 in boots, I've found that the shearling compresses with wear, so the 9 is perfect for me. Very warm, without being too hot, and comfy. Not a fan of skinny jeans, my straight legs and boot cuts go over them with ease. I have discovered that I cannot walk all day in them though as there is really no support. That said, I am considering getting another pair so I never have to be without them! Highly recommend...just don't plan on a whole day of shopping or standing on your feet for hours (gave me a backache...but then again, I'm *over 50*, young-uns prob would fare better). Buy them before they sell out!

My feet are always cold in my old drafty house. The llbean slippers fell apart in two years. I hoped these longer boots would keep my feet warm without legwarmers or heavy socks for a few years. These are definitely not outside boots. They would not survive a puddle or a slip. They are loose on the outside and sag because of the thick lining, and for those with wide feet, one's foot hangs over until the seam splits. They are warm.
