Rated 3 out of 5 by OBXBeachGirl Runs small in the chest
I wear a large in several other coats, jackets, and outerwear tops from LL Bean. I have a lot of them. This one is true to length but a bit skimpy across the chest and under the arms. Would get an XL but of course it is sold out. I can wear the large over one shirt but could not layter if needed. Tall would be too long. I am 6' and 185.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brianboy A great waterfowl jacket
This jacket works very well when the temp is low and not windy. To make it better is to get the shell to put over it. L.L. Bean has done it again. I don't shop anywhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by billebs Nice jacket
I was looking for a mid weight jacket in a tall and found this to be a good fit. I am 6'4 and 210 lbs and still needed a 2XL tall to feel comfortable. The tall sizes always seem to be long in the body but something you must live with. The fabric feels fine, not quite a soft shell feel but it is soft, not polyester feeling in the least.. It was warm and did the job. It was not a part of a system but if I needed a water proof layer or wind proof layer, I would just cover it with what I have. Nice deep pockets and the camo looks great. thanks for making the tall sizes at a great price!!

I purchased this to use on its own (and not part of the technical system), and it has done the job great. The jacket is well-padded and warm. No frills, just a good, warm, tough jacket. Personally, I like whatever treatment LL Bean has done to the exterior. It repels water well and creates just enough coating such that the jacket doesn't catch or snag when pushing through rough marsh grass and corn stalks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SouthCountyRI Good Quality. Greater Value.
Purchased this during last off season and have begun putting to use since temperatures have dropped off. The outer fabric is the new polyester that resists fading, which keeps the Duck Blind camo looking good for years. The sizes tend to run a bit on the high side, however this is probably due to LL Bean expecting individual who use this product to be wearing a waterfowling sweater as well. I typically hunt saltwater areas close to the ocean and this product has kept me quite warm this season due to the Thinsulate insulation within it. I have loaned this jacket once to a friend, and he was quite complimentary towards it and is going to order the same jacket.

I was not impressed with this jacket. Although it does seem warm, I was not happy with the quality. 100% polyester. The feel of the outer jacket was very unpleasant. Remember how polyester felt back in the 60-70's??? Very surprised that LLBean would carry this quality in fabric. Being returned.
