My husband bought these for groomsmen gifts for our wedding. He also bought one for himself. They were cheaper then, but still pricey for the time. I thought he was crazy, but he wanted them. Fast forward 15 years...he still uses this all the time. We have had a number of the groomsmen tell us over the years that that was the best gift for being in the wedding that they ever received!

My boyfriend LOVED this gift. He fishes off the beach where we camp and this item is handy for everything! It was refreshing to call LL Bean and actually get a human being who was so incredibly nice and helpful and knowledgable! I would highly recommend shopping with LL Bean.

I bought a Leatherman for my daughter who is in Cameroon Africa with the Peace Corps. She said it is an indispensable tool that she constantly relies on. I would recommend this tool whether you are a weekend camper or on safari in Africa.

Got this Leatherman for my husband as a Father's Day gift but since he and our younger son were going to go fishing I gave it to him early. He LOVES it!

- Excellent, heavy duty utility tool.
- Easy access to blades without having to open the device.
- Locking blades for added safety.
- A little heavy, however, for what it is capable of, well worth the weight.
- The leather case is just fine and holds the tool snugly.
- I carry this with me daily.

I have another version of leatherman but the wave far exceeds its utility. The most often used tools located on the outside of the handle so they can be opened without unfolding the tool is a tremendous advantage. I use it almost every day. The leather case it comes with is not a good one however and I had to buy a nylon one from another source. It's made explicitly for the wave and I would suggest that L. L. Bean start to carry it as an option.

Initially, I was hesitant to buy because of how many different versions of the Leatherman exist, but this was definitely the best choice.
